Feb 6, 2013 problems

I don't know what the cause of the problem is (& I probably never will), but not only can I not add any links to the database I can't view the database either. That is why I can't post any links here today to compensate for the main page being out of order. Again, follow @nuzhound on Twitter for updates and thank you for your patience.

Back to normal & Twitter updates

The Newshound is up and running this morning after the tech problems that arose with my ISP. If you use Twitter, I tend to update that more often than this page. See @nuzhound for twitter updates.

Tech issues today, Apr 27, 2010

I don't know what the problem is this morning, but I cannot connect to the Newshound. Yet, it seems to be up and functioning.

The problem is I can't add any links to the database, which means I have no ETA for when today's update will be available.

New Look update

We're ironing out some technical matters so for the moment the Irish Central shell is turned off. It will be back, probably tomorrow (Oct 16).

New Look

The Newshound will have a new look later this week, probably Thursday. The site will function as it has for the past 13 years, but you will now have an opportunity to add comments about the articles on the Newshound.


I don't think the changes are earth-shattering, but a new look and comments are two changes I've wanted to make for a long time now. Some of you have even heard me say as much.

Although I'm hoping that there will be no technical hiccups with these changes, I know that hopes and reality often conflict when it comes to the internet. If you do have any issues with the Newshound please let me know at john @ nuzhound.com.

Are you having trouble with the Newshound?

I've had a few e-mails from people indicating that some are having trouble using the Newshound the past few days. One problem I've heard a few times is that only a few articles are now available, not the full list.

Does this picture help in any way? Please let me know.

Others have asked if they now have to register to use the Newshound. No, is the answer. The site should function as it always has.

The links should work when clicked. One or two of you have indicated that this is not happening at the moment.

I don't know what is going wrong there. Can you tell me if the links work on this temporary page?

Potential outages
