Happy Spring!!

It is officially Spring today and to celebrate we went to the Hicks Nursery Flower Show yesterday. Here are the girls posing in front of some of the flowers. Hooray for warmer weather on the way! Walks! Parks! Outdoors!

Poor Phil Is Dead

We regretfully inform you that our beta fish Phil died on Monday, March 16th. Rebecca was getting ready for the day and went to get her watch out of her jewelry box on top of the dresser where she usually greets Phil. Poor Phil was dead. A funeral was held that evening, and Phil was put to rest underneath a tree outside our apartment. Matt taught an inspirational lesson on the resurrection to Natalie for Family Home Evening. You gotta take the teaching moments when you can. We will miss you Phil!

Why I love being a mom

I love having an excuse to spend time making families out of Play-doh, painting with watercolors, coloring in a coloring book or any other past time that my 3 year old enjoys. It's good for the soul.

Flat Josh

My nephew Josh read "Flat Stanley" which I still need to check out from the library, and so we were the lucky people who had a visit from "Flat Josh" to take around NYC with us. It was a highlight of our life recently to feel connected to our nephew who lives across the country from us.
