On a happier note... (While waiting for things on Ass to print)Hello boys & girls!
Been working hard but results ain't showing?
If so, read on!
I'm sure all of us J.C students wanna get into that dream Uni (enrolled I mean, of course anyone can just hail a cab & go into the building) yea! Just like everything needs factors for its success, we've come up with a comprehensive guide on
How to be an A* J.C student!
1. A laptopOf course, portability rocks.
Be it for project work, studying in libraries, blogging(good way to distress), playing games(short intervals in between homework piles).
A laptop is definitely better than the bulky desktop which takes ages to load & you have to share it with everyone else in the family.
2. A printerWith school portals like the As
s, a printer is a must for all us J.C students. Important information, tutorials, lecture notes, holiday assignments, etc, etc are continually uploaded by our teachers, so always keep a 2 fingers on the
Ctrl &
P button on your keyboard.
Furthermore, the school printer is cumbersome to use now with the credit card system (and also there is a need to book a computer before you can use the printer. AND computers are always transformed into LAN stations, making it tougher to book just ONE computer for printing) , so it'll be best to invest in your own.
3. A PrinterNo, you're not seeing double.
A Printer (person) would be a great help in helping you to print your stuff (
duh)from school portal (esp. with our busy schedules & longggg timetables).
Research shows that the opportunity cost of time wasted in printing is definitely offset by the $ you spend in employing the Printer.
Or even better if you have a little brother of sister who is willing to help you print 74659342 pieces of paper for the price of one chocolate bar. :D
4. TutorsKnowledge is never enough. Tutors are an additional source & helps reinforce points taught by lecturers.
You can even catch up with your peers if you miss out something due to falling asleep in boring lectures. Hurray!
5. DeskVery important- the right height of chair to table ratio. Improper ratio can cause neck strains & backaches which gives rise to negative externalities such as teachers having to spend $ to treat their headaches when students are unable to listen in class due to their backaches, etc, etc.
6. Ice coffee dispenserRed Bull works too. ***** For those late night studying.
Especially with inflationary food prices, this would be another great investment.
Current
Kopi bing prices (w.r.t. coffeeshop opposite my house): A whooping $1.10 (up around 10%(lazy to calculate) from 90 cents long time ago).
7. NewspapersUseful for G.P & Econs because of the wide array of general knowledge inside.
Can be complemented with magazines like Times & Newsweek, & perhaps 8Days & Teens to spice up your knowledge on TV & fashion sense respectively too.
8. MP3Only source of entertainment.
Serves as good tool to block out noise from some students who study in school but end up talking at the top of their voices.
Yea man.
A Walkman phone does the job too.
9. OrganiserKeep track of important dates- exams, tests, prom!
10. Friends100 stars to this! (: (:
When you are stressed, happy, sad,
true friends will be the best-est medicine!
Warning: Hard to find though.____________-
I give up on printing Chem.
