Dishwashing in style
Trying again
About a month ago my mommy thought maybe I was ready for rice cereal. The first time I ate it, I thought it was really good and ate it right up. Then for the next week I was really fussy every time mommy fed me so we gave up. Now that I'm 5 months old, my mommy thought we'd give it another try. I'm not sure it's going any better this time. Maybe I just don't like plain 'ol boring rice cereal.
Here I am (above) eating at the beginning of August. Most of the cereal came right out of my mouth and onto my bib or hands!
I've been eating in my Bumbo seat since I don't have a high chair yet. We're going to buy one today though!

Kitchen remodeling
It's finally happening... my mommy and daddy are getting a dishwasher!! My grandpa Al is over at our house today working on our kitchen. Amazingly, I am sleeping through all the noise from the saw and the hammer. Grandpa is also adding lots of new cabinets to hold all my things! Yeah! Here are some before pictures...

And here are some of the process:

And here are some of the process:
Labor Day Weekend
This weekend was the first big Mizzou game of the year: Mizzou vs. Illinois in St. Louis at the
Edward Jones Dome where the Rams play. Of course my daddy had to see the game so we drove to St. Louis this weekend. Thank goodness the Tigers won! Rrrrrgh!! We stayed with the Hoffmans. On Saturday night I stayed with my first babysitter! Actually there were two babysitters. Thank goodness since there were three babies; me, and Ellie and Will who are 3
I'm sitting up!
On Friday, August 29th, I was waiting for mommy to finish getting ready for work. Instead of laying back on my Boppy pillow like I usually like to do I wanted to sit up. Mommy helped me get in the sitting position and then I used my arms to hold myself up! It was so cool being able to sit by myself. THEN when I was at the Hoffman's house this weekend in St. Louis, my mommy sat me on the countertop to watch Jen make salad and surprise... I sat up without even needing to use my arms for support. You can see from my facial expressions that I really have to concentrate. This sitting up opens all new worlds for me. I'll be able to sit in a highchair (when my parents finally buy me one), sit in the shopping cart, and in the highchair at restaurants.
I'm rolling over!
The first time I rolled over was on July 9th, but I took several weeks off before rolling over again. I like to keep everyone on pins and needles waiting! Now I roll over more often from my front to my back. Check out a quick video of me here:
