New shoes

Image
I got these fun new sandals for summer and I want to wear them first thing in the morning - even before I have clothes on! They're pretty cool because I can put them on all by myself.

Olivia's Party

Image
Mommy and I went to my friend Olivia's birthday party this weekend. They had to have it in their garage because it was raining. They had lots of delicious food, but my favorite was the cake and ice cream. We played pin the nose on Elmo and rode bikes around the driveway. Happy 2nd birthday, Olivia!

Trip to the Zoo!

Image
Since it was a nice spring day we took a trip to the zoo together! We got there before the crowds so it was excellent. We decided to take a trip to Africa on foot (except me- I got to ride) so it took most of the morning. We saw seals, baboons, elephants, hippos, zebras, birds, meerkats, and all sorts of other African animals. We were disappointed that we didn't get to see the chimps because they were hiding in their 2 acre area. It was a great morning. After the zoo we went to our old favorite restaurant, 75th St. Brewery. I helped Mommy and Daddy eat the big soft pretzels that we all love.ImageImageImageImage

No More Smokebush

Image
It was a busy Saturday because Papa and Nana came over to help us take out this enormous overgrown bush from our front yard. The bush was so big that it was blocking our dining room window. Papa brought over his really noisy chainsaw and made a few cuts and it was OUT! The hardest part was getting the stump out. Our house looks so much better now without it! I was a big help - can't you tell from my gloves?

Bath time

I love taking my baths at night. I play happily during the bath, but I get really sad when Mommy pulls the plug and the water flows out of the tub. I usually try to close the drain again!ImageImage

Spring Sunrises

Image
Mommy and I have been enjoying the spring sunrises at our new house. Every season the sunrises are different. Sometimes you can see them - other times (like in the summer) you can't.

An Artist

Image
Did you know that I have artwork in an art gallery? I do! My artwork is in an art show at my school! Isn't that terrific? On Sunday, Mommy and I went to my art show. Daddy couldn't come because he was in New Orleans for my Uncle Tim's bachelor party. I didn't really want to have my picture taken so Mommy did the best that she could under the circumstances. I think my favorite piece is my pig. I had to decide where to put the eyes, nose and ears! The foot prints were made with Karo syrup so they were fun to make, but really messy when we brought them home. They started dripping down the refrigerator. I really enjoy art time at school; painting, making collages, and drawing.

Spring Fling

Image
We went to the Parents as Teachers Spring Fling on Saturday. It was a perfect day. "Why?" you ask. Because there was a school bus, a fire truck, a police car, water, and play doh-- all at the same place! Not only did I get to see them, but I also got to get in them and check them out. I was amazed that the keys were even in the bus still! We could have driven right out of there (if my legs were a little longer to reach the pedals)! I will admit- I was a little nervous at first when we first got near the bus and the fire truck, but I started to warm up when I realized I could sit in the bus driver's seat! We didn't see Jana, our PAT, but we saw lots of other kids and families! It was really busy!!

Easter Dinner

We had Easter dinner at our house again this year. We thought we weren't going to be able to have dinner because Daddy was suppose to have a trial in St. Louis and Nana and Papa weren't going to be around, but thankfully everyone was around after all! We enjoyed the ham, homemade scalloped potatoes, green bean casserole, and, of course, the company!

Easter!

ImageI found my Easter basket first! There were lots of cool things. My favorites were the (Fisher Price) 'guy' and the red Tonka truck for my garage. I would have been perfectly happy with those two things, but Mommy and Daddy had more in store for me!

ImageThen I starting finding the eggs! I would shake them to see what was in them. As soon as I found them I had to open them right up and eat the chocolate or marshmallow that was hidden inside.
ImageSometimes I would shout, "Moneeey!" because some of the eggs had quarters in them. It was so much fun finding all the eggs around the house!

ImageThat afternoon, Mommy and I dyed eggs together. We had to be very careful around all the dyes so we didn't knock them over. Here I am checking out our finished product.

ImageCan I touch one (while you gaze into my beautiful blue eyes)?

ImageJust one finger, pease?

ImageMaybe my whole hand would be o.k. Right???

Easter Parade

Image
We went to an Easter parade this morning at Zona Rosa. My Mommy said it was the shortest parade she's ever seen, but afterward we got to see Mr. Stinkyfeet, Jim Cosgroves singing. We have one of his CDs and I really like his songs. He played all our favorites! The weather was absolutely perfect; blue skies and sunny. After our long winter we are definitely ready for some warmer weather.

Breakfast with Raggedy Andy

Image
This morning I decided to make breakfast for Raggedy Andy and myself. I got all the food and silverware out for us at the table. As you can see, Andy is eating spaghetti and sauce for breakfast with a lemon on the side. I'm having chips! Mommy had to help me a little with the pillows- otherwise Andy can't see what he's eating. After breakfast it was time to put Andy to bed. Nigh-nigh!
