Puffy…

I have been getting this website’s pix everyday….but those who knew me back at summer camp will get a kick out of this….the one thing that was kidnapped constantly!

I have rediscovered the library…mainly because you can request books from the entire county online!

As a result, I have the opportunity to read a bunch of books that I have always had interest in but did not necessarily want to purchase….

The topics range from Historic Ruins of the Hudson Valley to Kat Von D’s books to the Disney Secrets to others…

I am currently reading Mouse Under Glass – Secrets of Disney Animation and Theme Parks by David Koenig. Lots of fun tidbits and of course I latch onto the pirate stuff…

The cat with the fragile nerves (AKA behaves like a cat unlike the other one that behaves like a dog) has a not so subtle way of letting me know that she is upset that I am going to work...


And when I get home, she has a not so subtle way of inspecting where I have been....

Piragi...

I have been helping a friend make cultural treats for her wedding….every culture has a “hand held meat inside bread” dish. Latvains have piragi!

I arrived at her place last week and walked into a kitchen where there was flour flying in the air. I turned towards the hum of the mixer and saw that it being attended by a barefoot, long skirted blonde wearing her grandmother’s apron with amber earrings bobbing as she kept checking the dough’s stickiness….her ecstatic happiness was absolutely contagious!

We made about 100 piragi that night in what seemed like record time…..just make the dough flat, add some filling and make it into a little bun….Besides the mix of the meats, the real secret of making piragi is the social factor – she had made some on her own but said that the ones that we made together looked better.


As I have said before…I need the good things….this definitely qualifies!!

"Extra Sugar"...

Besides the fact that this happened WAY too close to home, the story is hilarious!

“An overnight employee at a New Jersey Dunkin' Donuts was caught selling sex in addition to Munchkins and coffee drinks after police were given an anonymous tip about the off-menu items. Cops cleverly dubbed their investigation "extra sugar".”

For some reason, the girl opted to do an interview and she claims that she thought that the cop was just trying to be her friend.

The people leaving comments have only been adding to the laughs!!

Dunkin Hoenuts….Time to make the dough…the endless “filling the Boston Crème” jokes…oh, there are many creative people out there!
