Saturday's hike ended up being a bit longer than originally planned but good conversation with great company always makes the miles go by quickly!

Could not stop taking pictures of the burnt water wheel...was just drawn to it.

Ages...

Watched the "Age of Adaline" and the scene with the photo album of dogs is still making me cry.  Out of all scenes, this is the one that I keep going back to when talking about the movie.


It's as simple as her going through the pages of a photo album and at the end she adds the picture of the most recent addition.  And it drives home the point that she has outlived about 20 dogs - they have all passed away and she remains unchanged. 
 
Yeah sure, there was an indoor drive in movie theater but the album with the dogs!!

And now that the excitement has died down, I keep having this repeating in my head...




Especially the "we all need someone we can bleed on" lyric.


Help was there when I needed it....but I was also giving help.  It can go on and loop in so many different directions as more connections click....

Been trying to figure out how to sort through the past weekend's events.....let's just go with...


This could have been the last picture that I ever took.

Jack Daniels is an evil drink and there could have had a way, way, way worse ending.  Very grateful for those that came to help with all sides of the situation. 

This little dog really worries about me when I'm gone.
