We left early Monday morning and the first thing we did when we got there was drop our stuff and head to the beach.
This was the first time Ansley had ever been and since we knew Josh would be stuck in a training room most of the week, it was important we get out there ASAP so Daddy could be apart.
She LOVED it!
This is one of the few pictures I have of Josh on the beach. You would think they would cut them some slack and let them out early since we were at the beach, but sadly that was not the case. He was in training until around 5:30 every day.
Me and my girl.
While we missed Joshua, Ansley and I had a great time. We would get up everyday, eat breakfast and then head out.
The kid loved to buried in the sand.
I got tickled at her, my type A child would pick up shells and one by one carry them back to water. She did this ALL WEEK.
This only reaffirmed my decision to stay out of water above my knees. The kid next to me had a jar of them that he had found. No. Thank. You.
Finding more shells to return to the ocean.
Seriously, I adore this kid.
This was about as close to the water as Diva got... I offered to take her out but she wasn't having any of it. She doesn't like to be in situations where she isn't in control and I was fine to stay in ankle deep water.
Even wearing SPF 50 this kid tans better than her mother.
After spending the morning at the beach we would head to the pool around 12:30 ish. There was a pool that was 1 foot deep with a big "A" in the middle that Ansley called "her bitty pool". (The A was for the resort, not Ansley, but there wasn't any reason to tell her that:)
We went to the pool one night and she stayed in until she was almost as blue as her towel.
We would come back in when Josh got back and get ready to go out for dinner each night. One night we went to the board walk and of course had to feed the fish.
So many fish... so gross...
We fed them a few times, Diva loved it.
And what beach trip is complete without ice cream?
We went for a walk on the beach our last night and took the obligatory family photos.
And then this happened... I know, I'm the mom that took a picture instead of consoling her child.
It was one of the best business trips I've ever been on :)
