Making Cookies
Madison loves helping inthe kitchen. So last week I decided it was time for her to help make sugar cookies. I put on an apron, so of course she wanted one too. She liked to "Push" the cookie cutter down and make the cookie. She's not very happy in these first two pictures because she didn't want to look at the camera.

Coloring Easter Eggs
I asked Chris how many eggs I should boil and he said six, but I did eight. We were on the last egg and he asked, "is that the last one?" He was very disappointed. I knew I should have gone with my gut and done 12. As soon as Madison woke up from her nap, Chris stripped her down and we colored eggs on Saturday. She seemed to have a good time.

Easter Morning
Easter Morning we hid Madison's basket and some Easter Eggs filled with candy. We got her up and gave her a basket to find the hidden eggs. Of course she found her Easter Basket first. She was so cute when she found it--she took everything out one at a time and put in her other basket. She would oooh and aaah over each thing. And then she found her Peter Pan Sticker book (check out the next picture to see her expression)...
"Wow! What is this?--a PETER PAN STICKER BOOK!! ALRIGHT!"
It took a little coaxing to get her away from the sticker book to search for eggs. But once she realized they were filled with M&M's she was quite excited. She would find and egg, open it up, say "Treat", dump the treat in her bucket and throw the egg to the ground. It was a fun morning.

Our Field Trip to Great Harvest
About three weeks ago, we went with our playgroup for a tour of Great Harvest. It was so good. They took the kids in the back and explained how to make bread and then gave them all their own piece of dough to "knead" and make into a shape. While their bread was baking they went out side giving each child a gigantic choc. chip cookie and read "The Little Red Hen" and then had goodie bags and their bread for them. It was a fun outing. Here's Madison with her bread. She loved kneading it!

We're Back!
Last week, Madison and I went to NM for my sister Ali's State Basketball Tournament. We had so much fun! We got to visit with Grandma & Papa, Ali, Ryder and Kendal. Wouldn't you know that I took my camera, but took NO pictures. I'll have to get Kendal to email me some. Unfortunately, the Lady Broncos lost in the championship game! By the time the championship game rolled around, Madison had had enough basketball! Here are some pics from a few weeks ago--this past Sunday was terrible weather, but we're back to beautiful sunny days.

How about a smile??
We've been having beautiful weather, so it was finally time to get out the Springtime Sunday Clothes. Grandma & Grandpa O. sent Madison this dress for Valentine's. We got cute new sandals, painted our toes and were ready. But do you think this girl would smile?? Not a chance!
A little bit better--at least it's not a frown...

Little Mother
Over the past little while, Madison has been playing with her dolls alot. This picture cracks me up because the doll is so little, but I'm sure she enjoys the vinegar Madison got for her to drink. Madison later put her bib on the doll.
Madison getting food out of the cupboard to feed her babies.

The bib is more of a blanket and if you'll notice the banana in the doll's hand. Madison also got out a spoon and tried to feed it to her that way. Luck for this baby, she got Propel to drink instead of vinegar.

One afternoon Madison had her baby and went in her room and shut the door. I went and openned the door to peek in on what she was doing. She was walking around her room humming a song and patting her baby's back (just like we do to put her down for a nap). When she saw me she came and shut the door. A little bit later she came out and I saw that she had fixed the baby on the floor on a blanket. She told me that the baby had gone "nigh, nigh". She is going to be such a good big sister.

That's right, Madison is going to be a big sister in August! We are excited for this new little baby to come.
