Cereal and Gardens
On Sunday December 4th we fed Evelyn her first bowl of rice cereal. She absolutely loved it! The girls loved feeding her. Madison actually does a pretty good job.

Evelyn at 6 Months
I cannot believe my baby is 6 1/2 months old! She went in for her check-up yesterday and weighed in at 17 lbs. 2 oz. (1 1/2 lbs lighter than Claire) and 27 inches. She is my smallest child at this age. She is so sweet. She loves eating food. She's tried rice cereal, prunes, peaches, peas and carrots and seems to enjoy them all. She rolls all over the place--back to front and front to back. She prefers to sleep on her tummy with her thumb in her mouth! She loves her toes and manages to get them in her mouth often. She giggles and squeals really loud. She loves blowing bubbles and rasberries on Mom's neck. If she's tired or hungry and sees Mom then she starts to whine for her and won't stop until I get her. She's still waking up once a night. Usually goes down about 8:30, wakes up at 2:45 and then sleeps until 8 a.m. Her morning nap is so irregular because we are never home, she usually takes a long late afternoon nap (which gets interrupted T & Th for dance and gymnastics, but I can usually transfer her to her carseat and she'll still sleep). Everythings goes into the mouth. Her two little teeth are adorable and sharp. Here she is in one of her many Christmas dresses.

First visit with Santa this Year
We were at the mall a few weeks ago and the girls wanted to see Santa. They wouldn't let you take pictures inside their area and Chris kept getting in my line of sight. Madison got real shy and didn't talk.
Claire went right up to Santa and gave him a hug and talked to him.

Santa not pleased with me taking pictures I guess.

The girls keep adding things to their list for Santa. The other morning I was talking with Madison about what she wanted for Christmas and she named some things and then said a cookie machine. This was the first I had heard of this, but she told me I didn't need to worry about it because she told Santa that was what she wanted!

Soccer
The season our competition was a lot harder--we played a lot of club teams. But we defintely saw growth in our team. Madison's defensive skills really improved. She had 8 goals for the season. She scored 3 goals in her last game and for her prize she wanted to go to the "spa". So the two of us went and got pedicures. She absolutely loved it!

Thanksgiving Vacation
We headed to Provo on Tuesday late afternoon the week of the Thanksgiving. We were all excited for a little vacation. We arrived at Grandma Dottie's and Grandpa Mike's. The girls were so happy to be out of the car. Wednesday we were able to visit with Great-Granddad Morgan and Grandma Katie, then Christ went golfing with this Granddad, brother Matt and cousin. Grandma Dottie and Aunt Sarah took Madison and Claire to Color me mine, ride the caurosel, and candy store. I stayed home with evelyn and made a pumpkin pie cheesecake for Thanksgiving dinner. When the girls got back we went to visit Aunt Dana and our new little cousins Porter and Tate. We got to help feed the boys. Madison was able to tell them apart. Matt, Courtney and Carter came down and we all had dinner and then watched a movie. Thanksgiving morning the girls needed a bath. Chris added a little too many bubbles!

We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. The girls are enjoying some punch.
