Trunk or Treat

Trying to figure out what everyone is going to be for Halloween can be tricky sometimes. We had a witch costume in Claire's size and she was good with that.  At first she didn't want to paint her face and then she changed her mind.  She made a scary witch.  Madison could not decide and finally I gave the suggestion of Miss Nevada and she was all for it--but she wanted to be Miss Queen of Nevada.  I explained that wasn't a real thing.  She had all kinds of ideas on what she needed.  We had a dress and jewelry (from my prom).  I let her pick out a tiara and she really wanted a ring.  Evelyn loves princesses so our friend let us borrow this adorable Aurora costume.  I had a watermelon or pumpkin for Lily...it was chilly and I was short on time so pumpkin it was.   We dropped Madison off at dance and came home to get Claire and Evie ready.  Raced to get Madison and headed straight to church as I was over the Trunk or treat.  I had already bought all the food and delivered earlier to the church.  Chris was in charge of cooking the hot dogs!  It was a busy but fun night!

Halloween Breakfast

Cute girls in cute Halloween clothes!

The day before Halloween I made orange pumpkins and put chocolate chips on as a face.  They were a hit!  (Halloween morning we headed to the dentist for check-ups at 7:45.  No cavities!!!)

Disneyland Day 2

The park didn't open until 9 a.m. on Saturday. It was nice to get a little extra shut eye.  Friday night Chris, Martin, Rich, Spencer, Tommy and Evie headed back to the hotel to watch the BYU vs. Boise St. game that started at 5.  So the women braved it with the rest of the kids and we stayed until about 8ish.  It was fun!  So we decided to start our day at Carsland.  The Dads stood in line for fast passes for the big Cars ride and we hit a couple of the others.  Tommy and Evelyn LOVED this Mater ride.  They giggled non-stop.  Heidi took them once and I took them once.  So fun!

While all the older kids and adults went to Soaring over California, Kendal and I took the 5 youngest to Disney Live on stage and wouldn't you know we ran right into Sofia.  Evelyn was adorable.  She was so excited to see Sofia.

Later the Ormes took all the little girls to visit some princesses so Claire could get some autographs. 

Isn't this sweet!  Each of the princesses were so nice.  They talked to all the girls and showed them their jewels and each princess would even talk to Lily.

They were all enthralled as she showed them all her jewels and then Evelyn showed Jasmine her earrings and bracelet.

Evelyn asked Ariel where her tail was?  She was very confused. 

"Rella" she shouted!

She offered to take a picture with Lily too.  I handed Lily to her and Evelyn got right in front and then Lily started to cry.  You can just make out the side of Lily's head. 

We watched the parade, headed to toon town (Claire LOVED).  We had to get a funnel cake.  We watched Fantasmic over the water and the fireworks.  Chris being the good Dad he is took a disappointed Claire to ride the Winnie the Pooh ride ( she hadn't ridden it yet) and splash mountain again.  Then Mart, Kenni, Chris, Madi and Claire went on Indiana Jones again while I watched a sleeping Evie and fed Lily.  We stayed until about 10:30 p.m.   So fun!  We loved every minute of it!  It was so nice having Kendal and Martin there to help out and enjoy everything with!

Disneyland Day 1

The park opened at 8 am. We had some excited and anxious children!  We had so much fun.  Evelyn just loved everything.  She noticed all the little details.  She especially loved seeing the different characters. 

On top of Claire's list of must do's was meet Tinkerbell and wouldn't you know she was at Pixie Hollow that morning.  So Chris, Aunt Lo (McKay, Lo and Cora met us there--they have season passes) and all the young kids headed over while everyone else went to ride space mountain. 

We happened upon Tiana which was great for Claire and her princess autograph book.
