Adam is quite the handy man and has decided to build a place for his built in grill that he bought. The grill itself weighs about 300 pounds and can cook about 20 steaks at once...here are some of the pics of the progress so far=) Pics are backward...so start from bottom and go up=)

1st pic (bottom) pouring the concrete
2nd pic (2nd from bottom) laying the concrete blocks for grill support
3rd pic (laying of the bricks)
4th pic (more brick laying)
5th pic (top pic) Zachary is so proud of his daddy=)

ADAM

I just wanted to take a minute to blog about Adam. As some of you know he was laid off back in January and started his new job this morning designing check out stands. (the belt driven stands you put your groceries on when you check out) Anyway, during the time he was laid off until he got his new job he has exasperated the job boards and has been able to watch his stocks more closely. This is not the reason for this blog however. I just wanted to take some time to say what a great guy he has been. I feel that God challenges us in hard times in order to help our faith in him grow stronger. We could have fallen apart after he was laid off but instead I believe that we became closer as a family and closer to God as well. Adam has been so good with Zachary and they have gotten to know each other so much more. It broke my heart this morning when I brought Zachary downstairs and he looked in the living room to say "hey" to daddy but daddy wasn't there. It was sad yet warmed my heart at the same time. Children need their daddies just as much as their mommies, and Zach sure knows who his daddy is. This past Friday, Electrolux had yet another layoff and some of Adam's buddies got the news this time. In a weird way we are blessed Adam got laid off when he did because he was able to find work so quickly. Adam is great at his job, great as a father and our marriage has never been stronger. Adam, thank you for not throwing in the towel when it would have been so easy to do so and thank you for being you. I love you!

PS Thank you everyone for your prayers for a new job....prayer works=)

We took Zachary to the playground where he has daycare and he of course loved it. It was pretty hot so we didn't stay long but got two cute videos of daddy and Zach and momma and Zach. Enjoy!!

Locksmith to the rescue!

Zach has learned that keys unlock doors and he is so funny to watch. If only he was a little taller and positioned on the other side of the door he might be able to do some damage. He is getting so big and is showing more and more signs of following in his daddy's shoes as an Engineer. We just love our little guy=)

Whistling anyone??

Zachary has started whistling and it is the cutest thing ever. The tricky part is recording it. Listen closely at the beginning and you can hear him a little bit. The clip is only 7 seconds long so you might have to replay a few times. Enjoy our little one's new talent=)

Happy Birthday angel

Zachary,

365 days ago you were born and I was on cloud nine. You came by way of c-section at 1:13pm. We were so blessed to be your parents. You weighed in at an amazing 8lbs. 15 1/2 ounces. You were gorgeous. I never would have thought I could love a baby as much as I love you. You have been such a happy baby from birth till now and a shining star in both our lives. From your beautiful eyes to your cute little nose, from your lively bounce to your sweet hugs you are a ray of sunshine in the lives of everyone you come into contact with. Thank you for being you and thank you for being ours. Today is your day and we celebrate your birth.

We love you more than you can imagine!

A couple of weeks ago momma and daddy went on a trip to the beach and Nana and Aunt Megan kept me. I had lots of fun with Nana and Aunt Megan but was happy to see momma and daddy when they got home. A big thank you to Nana and Aunt Megan for taking care of me=)
