Puerto Vallarta is a pretty beautiful place to paint. I have just finished our 7 week painting class series. These are a couple of my Demo's. The bar is raised every year with really great painters gathering on Thursday mornings on the streets and beaches to paint in perfect 'laboratory conditions'....sunny and 80 degrees.

This is the 6th Annual RIVERFEST poster. The 3 day  musical  fundraiser is this week-end, March 3-4-5 at El Rio BBQ.  We are expecting up to 1000 people to come and party while donating to Pasitos de Luz

Abstract pieces take a long time to complete. I don't have a formula and it feels like they are all beginning to look very similar. How to start and when to finish? and why bother?  Your opinion and ideas?

I dedicate this painting to a wonderful talent DEEDEE AGEE SPRECHER who lost her life to cancer last week.

I am always intrigued by paintings of squares. How to make the squares interesting? I want to experiment with this concept and dig deeper .I will appreciate any suggestions of artists that work in this style.

How to begin with no idea of what to paint? Spend a lot of time squeezing out luscious color while stalling for some inspiration

Set some surface up and randomly lay on some charcoal and grey paint...and then let the work begin to reveal itself

I am playing around with mixed media. These are painted with acrylic paint and then going back in with oil sticks. I would love any advice about how to use oil sticks

This is a work in progress. I painted over an old piece that has been around for too long. That gives a good start to an Abstract.

I am fostering this little street girl. She has been living on the streets at a taco stand for the past month. I can't offer her daily tacos but it is nice to get her health up to speed, Pretty cute pup. Her name is Chuletas...pork chops...or Chula for short

This has been a work in progress. I used house paint and sand from the river banks for texture  to begin with. The paint brush gets a real tooth to work with or against.
