Summer 2012

I know it has been forever since I blogged last.  There have been a TON of changes going on in our lives in the last little while and blogging has fallen to the bottom of my priority list.  Instead of boring you with a lengthy post about the events of our life since I last posted, I'll just post some pictures to sum it up.  Get ready for picture overload!

We're having a baby girl!  I'm due November 8 and we couldn't be more excited!  I'm 34 weeks now, but here is a picture of me at 32 weeks.

Patrick graduated from Utah State!!  He graduated with a double major in Spanish and Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  I couldn't be more proud of him!  Thanks to everyone who has been there supporting him through it all.

We had a great summer!  It was crazy busy with working, packing, and getting ready to move, but we made sure to enjoy every free moment we had during our last few months in Logan.  We spent a ton of time up the canyon fishing, building fires, and enjoying the mountains while we could.

We spent as much time as we could with all of our amazing friends that have become our family in Logan.  We love you and miss you all!!

We went to Yellowstone in June for opening fishing day.  It was so much fun to take a vacation and get to spend time with our family.  The boys caught more fish this year than they could count and had a blast doing it!  Thank you Mark and Halli for always making it such a fun and memorable time.

We spent the Fourth of July in Idaho Falls enjoying parades, baby blessings, ice cream, and fireworks.

My friends threw me a shower in Logan in July.  It was so fun to spend some much needed time with some of my amazing friends!  I'm so lucky to have such incredible friends.  Thanks to everyone who came and spoiled me and this sweet baby girl.  I love you all!

Thank you Katie and Kaleena for throwing me such a fun shower!  You girls are seriously the best!

A few days later I also had a shower in Pocatello with our family and friends there.  It was so much fun to see so many people who I grew up with and get to catch up a little with each of them.  We've been blessed with some amazing people in our lives.  Thank you to everyone who came and to the amazing women who put it all together for me!  It was a blast!

The next few weeks were spent packing and cleaning and cleaning and packing to get ready for our big move to Arizona.  It's amazing how much stuff you have when you live in the same place for 3 years!  We managed to get it all done with a lot of help from a lot of people.  We really appreciate everyone who helped us out, especially our fabulous parents who spent hours packing, loading up the truck, and cleaning the apartment until it was spotless.  My brother Devin was nice enough to offer to drive the car down to AZ so I wouldn't have to drive by myself.  I seriously don't know what we would have done without his help.  We couldn't have done it without you guys!

Arizona Here We Come

Well hello again blogging world! It's been a while. Life has been a little bit crazy around these parts lately. For those of you who haven't heard yet, Patrick got into dental school! After countless applications, 6 interview invites, 4 interviews around the country, and 3 acceptances, we are thrilled to say that Patrick will be attending Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona this August! Hooray!! We couldn't be more excited.

It has been a crazy process, but I can't tell you how great it is to know that all of our (and when I say "our" I mean Patrick's) hard work has paid off. It's wonderful to have some direction and to at least know where we'll be for the next four years. Now we just have to figure out the details - where we're going to live, how we're going to move all of our stuff to Arizona, how we're going to pay for the next four years, etc. In case you didn't know, dental school is a little on the pricey side of things.

Every day brings a new emotion for me. I've lived in Logan for six years now. It's become my home. This is where we met, some of our dearest friends are here, and our families are within driving distance. It's going to be really hard to leave this place. But life is about changing and growing and moving forward. We know we're supposed to be going to Arizona and are really excited to see what our future holds for us there. I know that in time Arizona will become home for us. We'll meet great friends who will become our family and have a great adventure doing it all.

People keep asking me what I'm going to do once we move. And to be quite honest, I'm not entirely sure yet. Luckily, I've got six months to figure that out. I'm open to any suggestions, advice, tips, etc from those of you out there who have gone through all of this or know someone who has. Really, please leave a comment. :)
