Puyallup Spring Fair

Image
Today Emma and I made it to the Spring Fair.  It has been raining all week.  Finally, the sun came through.  We have a blast.  Emma got to ride the old wood roller coaster for the first time.  She liked it so much that we went on it twice.  (Although she said she thinks she might have broke her neck).   We loved all the animals.  Emma's favorite animals were the bunnies.  She is sure that when Brooklyn goes to heaven she will need to get a bunny as a replacement pet.  We left with fully tummies, tired feet and happy hearts.  Emma slept the whole way home.

ImageImageWe tried to eat a brick of curly fries by ourselves but this photos is what is left after we were done eating.  I had a crusty pup.  Emma had a crusty pup minus the crusty...just the pup.  We toped of the food with a slushy and and cotton candy for Emma.  I got a strawberry shortcake and bakers pack of fair scones.

First Time Rock Climbing

It was a great chance to try something new.  Heather had been asking me for months to try climbing with her.  I was so busy wit my Masters that I could not find the time.  Finally I made it.  What an experience.  I think I have found something else I really want to try.  I am not very good at it...yet.  I would really like to go again. It is amazing what muscles you use...could really feel it in my forearms and fingers!

Brooklyn's Maze

Image
Over Spring break I have been spending most of my time working on my masters.  I took a break to set up a new maze for Brooklyn.  Emma and I read online that Hamsters enjoy eating carrots.  We chose to give her those as a reward when she finished the maze. Yummy carrots!

Things have finally slowed down

I have not made an entry in a while because things have slowed down. Jakob is in Arizona visiting his dad and will be back on Monday. I have all the Christmas decorations put up and we went to bed early on New Years Eve.

I made my very first turkey this year! It turned out great (I did have to call my mom to make sure I was doing it right) I also made my famous rainbow jello, which is always a hit. This was the first Christmas in our new home. It was nice to have a dinner with all of us. After dinner we watched an awesome movie that my mom made of all of my side of the family Christmas memories. Then we had the boys act out the Christmas story using our nativities. They were excited to learn that when the angels came to the shepards that there was more than just one. Then we headed over to Grandma Deanna and Grandpa Wayne's to give them Christmas presents, show off our new PJs and have snacks.

This year the boys did pretty good. Santa was really nice to them. I set up a trap on the stairs in our house so that they would not sneak down and distrub Santa when he was hard at working making sure that we all had some wonderful gifts. After the present opening we headed out to have a wonderful breakfast and Patrick's brother's house. JB did a great job making a wonderful spread of food. We had pancakes, bacon, sausage, biscuts, gravy, fruit, hot coco, orange juice and more. It was a great year! I am so blessed to have a wonderful family, friends and heavenly father who loves me.
