Portland & Uncle Andy!!

At the end of April, Parker headed up to Portland for a conference, so Nate and Ed came along to visit Uncle Andy and a bunch of great friends including Jeff and Lisa and her family. And we got to see Uncle Andy's great new house, including his huge garden and the chickens and baby goats, which of course Nate loved.

OK, this is really old news but we took Nate to a real live baseball game (A's vs Red Sox) and as usual, the game we went to see was the only one where the Red Sox lost... Ugh. Whatever, it was still fun. Nate was a little freaked out by the loud mouthed fans and the cheering and the crowd, but he loved seeing Cole and running up and down the aisles and stalking the camera man.

Trips to Little Farm

Nate loves going to the Little Farm in Berkeley where he can feed the goats and sheep and cows, and pet bunnies and see baby pigs and chickens and run around. We've taken up a few times in the last couple months - once for a family outing and one 'dads & boys' trip...

Dads & Boys at the Zoo

Nate and Cole got to go to the zoo on a dads-only trip the other weekend, along with Christian and Mike, Ethan and Nat, and some other dad-kid combos. Of course Nate and Cole were inseparable, holding hands and checking out the animals together. Here are the cutest shots and a priceless video...

Visiting Gettysburg

After Mama's big work event at the end of March, she and Nate went on a trip to Gettysburg to see Mio and Grampy and Nona. We had so much fun playing with toys and books that were Mama's 30+ years ago, and seeing the sights (sites?) around town. Wish we lived closer so that we could visit more often!!

Sabine's 3rd Birthday Party

We all had a fun time celebrating Sabine's 3rd birthday a few weeks back. Nate really enjoyed watching all the big kids, and eventually got up the nerve to join in the fun for the Music Together. Of course he did like the cupcakes (once we helped him remove the paper)... and he even 'helped' Sabine blow out the candles, as you will see in the hilarious video!!

Sledding in Tahoe

We took Nate up to Tahoe to experience snow, and he liked it a lot more in theory than in practice. Here is a video of his only sledding run with Mama, after which he cried and barely wanted to get down in the snow again. We did manage to go for a walk and build a snow man and play on a snowy playground, but then he was done. Later it turned out that he had a cold and a mild fever - oops! But it was still a fun weekend.
