Random pictures

Image
At Brody's school last week they had crazy hair day so we sprayed stips in his hair. He liked it because he said it made his blonde hair look gold.

Image
A day at the park when we had 70 degree weather. The kids were looking for "fossils" It kept them busy.

Image
Colton loves the vacuum, so I have been vacuuming with him sitting on it. He looks a little dazed here, but he really loves it.

We are alive

I know I haven't posted forever, but we are alive and kicking. My camera is broken but does work so I haven't taken very many pictures. An update on all of us. . .
Colton is 10 1/2 months walks all over the place and attempts to run, he loves to play peek a boo, eat everything, climb all over, all boy, nothing slows him down.
Kaylee is loving dancing and sad she is out of preschool. We attempt to do school at home but you know how that goes. She does read a few times a week though. She loves being a big sister and taking care of Colton when I need her to. She is getting ready to play soccer this summer.
Brody is busy with school and we are starting to work on a science project for the fair in April. He wants to do a volcano. He loves reading and comes home with plenty of homework to do.
We are so excited for warmer weather so we can be outside. :)

Wrestling

Brody participated in his first wrestling season this year. I grew up with all my brothers wrestling. So this year we decided to introduce Brody to the sport. He did a pretty good job not knowing how to wrestle. He has the strengh but not the fundamentals. Here is a clip of him wreslting.

Toothless boy

Brody has been waiting and waiting for his teeth to fall out. He will even try to wiggle them so they can become loose. He had his four front teeth loose. Kaylee helped out with one of them. Brody had the seat belt in his mouth and Kaylee yanked on the belt, it did not pull it out but loosened it a great deal. It came out the next day (Saturday).Image Image
On Sunday he had so much fun with a tooth out he kept wiggling his other fron tooth and it came out. I think he like what the tooth fairy brought him. So I didn't get a picture with just one tooth missing I got both teeth gone. For Christmas all he wants is his two(four-by Christmas time he has lost all four front teeth) front teeth.

Halloween

Okay, I have lots to catch up on. Sorry this is 2 months late. I have lots and lots of reasons or excuses. However you want to look at it. So hopefully I can catch up soon.

ImageNot a very good picture but here are the trick or treaters. Brody(vampire), Paul(duck hunter), Colton(duck), Kaylee(princess)

This is what the kids ended up being for Halloween.Image

Kaylee was a princess, Brody was a vampire, and Colton was a duck. We were running around crazy that day, so needless to say Kaylee did not get her hair done and Colton's duck outfit was thrown together at the last minute with only a few feathers on him. I figured he would pull at them all night anyways.

We had a great time trick or treating around our neighborhood, and great weather. No jackets were needed.

Misc. Pictures

ImageKaylee and Colton playing together and having fun. Everything goes into his mouth.

Image Colton is getting up on his fours and attempting to crawl. He is at the stage of lunging forward. He is getting places but slow. I am going to have to child proof this house soon.
ImageBrody always has his hand in his mouth lately. He is helping out his loose teeth by wiggling them always. Currently he has his 4 front loose. It is fun to watch him eat food lately. He has to use his back teeth.

Image We go to my brothers house to carve pumpkins every year. It was nice to have my kids do their own and not need much of my help or others. Thanks Lisa and Andrew for helping clean and carve their pumpkins. They had fun as always being with their cousins and playing in the pumpkin goo.

Image Brody loved it. I believe he did his by himself. He is growing up to big too fast.

ImageNicole and Kaylee dancing and singing to the CD of Hannah Montana. They have so much fun together. They go to preschool, dancing and church together.

What to be for Halloween?

Image A couple of weeks ago our friends put on a Halloween party for the kids. This is the first set of costumes. Brody is a soccer player and Kaylee a.k.a. Hannah Montana.

Image Our ward had their Halloween party on Saturday. Their was lots of chili to choose from, and lots of corn bread. Then the kids went to the different rooms for a variety of activities. Kaylee was a ballerina, Brody a baseball player, and Colton was an Aggie fan.

Image This was Kaylee yesterday going off to dancing - I think she has decided to be Hannah Montana for Halloween.

Image Brody went to school like this today. He wants to be a Vampire, we will decorate the face for Halloween but I didn't want it to destract him during school.

Happy Halloween!

Haircut

Image The hair that I was born with. Dark and lots of it.Image5 months later I still have lots of hair. It is below my eyes, down my neck and it covers my ears. (thanks to JcPenney's for taking the picture)
Image Dad got sick of everyone thinking I was a girl with lots of hair, so here are some pictures of my hair cut. My mom cried because she did not want it cut yet.

Image
Image Dad is cutting my hair, mom is holding me and moving me so dad can cut my hair without cutting me and Kaylee is taking pictures of the whole thing. I am looking for some help here.

In the end I look cute and like a little boy.

Tennis Star

Image The reason we went to Wyoming this weekend was to see Paul's little or should I say younger brother play tennis. It was regionals this weekend. We missed his two games on Friday. He won both of those. On Satuday he played for the championship. He ended up placing 2nd but played really well and it was so fun to watch.
Image

Playground

Image They had this fun playground at the city park that the kids absolutely loved. They climbed, ran, spun, rested (long enough to get a drink), swung, ran some more. They were wore out.
Image

Anthropoligist

Image We went to Wyoming this past weekend and Brody was digging up rocks and moving them around. He had buckets full of them. If it isn't digging up dinosaur bones then it is rocks

I love food

ImageTuesday was the first day of cereal for Colton. I was going to start cereal the middle of October but I got tired of feeding him so often. He was so excited to eat the cereal. He opened his mouth wide and his arms were moving so fast he could have been flying. He absolutely loves it. He will grab my finger and help shove the food into his mouth. Cereal of course is all over the place, his face, hands, arms, sometimes in his hair. I'm a little rusty, it has been a few years since I fed a baby. Needless to say he eventually gets some to eat. Their are still moments that he would rather nurse and he lets me know, but he loves food. I can't wait to start fruits/vegetables. I love it when they finally start eating solids.

Thumb or Pacifier that is the question

Image Okay, you see it. He has his thumb in his mouth. Yes when they are little they are so cute sucking their thumb, not so cute when they get older. He finds it sometimes and uses it, other times he will take the pacifier. I am afraid that the thumb is going to win this one, as much as I try to give him the pacifier. It is much easier to take away the pacifier than it will be the thumb.

Going Nuts!!!

Image This is Brody's latest collection. He comes home almost everyday with a pocket full of acorns.

funny story: The other day I was sitting on the porch with my sister in law, Brook. Brody wispers in my ear "don't tell her about my nuts." He wanted to show her his collection of acorns.

Aggie Family Day

Image They were doing a little cheer thing so Kaylee and I stopped to see what is going on. As of now she wants to be a cheerleader.
Image Here is her stunt with the USU guy cheerleaders.

Image This is Paul's brother, he works for the USU Alumni Center. He was holding down the info booth and helping all over the place.

Image While Brody and Paul were standing in the rock climbing line (at least an hour) Kaylee decided to go to Velcro jump. She loved it, she wanted to keep jumping and sticking but the girl in charge told her, her time was up. I wasn't sure if she would be able to unstick herself.
Image Brody doing what is loves to do, climb, climb, climb. He stood in the line for about an hour waiting to rock climb. He did the medium climb and climbed up to the top and rang the bell. He was on cloud nine.Image

Our cute little Aggies. USU gets new game day shirts every year. These are this years shirts. Go Blue or Go Home.

It is all gone

Image On Saturday we had my cousin Brook cut our hair. She is at a local Beauty college. I told her we would cut Kaylee's hair just below her shoulder. Brook said she cut a little girls hair shorter and it was so cute. I said go ahead if Kaylee wanted it short. She said she did.
Image
After we got our hair cut we went out to the van. Here is our conversation, in tears:
Kaylee: I don't like my hair.
Me: How come, it looks so cute.
Kaylee: I didn't want it cut short.
Me: It will grow back, we won't cut it short again.
Kaylee: You will forget.
Me: No I won't.
This went on for about 5 minutes. Finally I got her to sit in her seat and we went home. We get home and she didn't want to get out of the car. (still crying). I went in and warned Paul and Brody to say nice things about her hair (not that they would say anything mean, but I wanted to make sure, no jokes boys). I finally had to carry her in the house.
Brody came out to the van and asked why she was crying, I told him she didn't like her hair cut. He said I like it, it's cute.
Yes she finally likes her hair and thinks it is cute.

4 months old

Image I love this picture. It looks like we curled all that hair. That is how it looks when he is out of the tub.
Image We went for his 4 month check up on Friday. He is 17 lbs. and 25 1/2 ". Yes, he is in the 86% on his weight. He is our chunky monkey. But he, like his brother is always on the move. He is not crawling or rolling over yet, but when he is sitting on our laps he likes to push with his legs and rock back and forth. So we have to hang on tight.
Image
He gets this cute concerned look on is face. He brings such happiness and joy to our family.

1st day of preschool

Image Kaylee off to preschool. She was so excited to go. She goes to preschool with one of her friends, Nicole. She loves it. She comes home everyday and tells me about it or the two girls talk non-stop on the way home about the day and singing songs.
