August rolled around and we knew that we would be busy prepping for school that would be starting shortly. But we made time to finally use a gift certificate that Coco had won for the Veyo pool campground. Given that we are not a camping family, this was the first time that we have ever attempted camping together. But, it was only for one night and aside from everyone struggling to sleep, it was actually pretty fun...

Not sure how the summer seemed to start and end all in one breath, but here we are celebrating our Back To School Night. Yummy dinner, new school supplies, and father's blessings make such a special night. Then the girls get ready to head off to school the following morning. Back to routines, schedules, homework, and everyone gone during the day...
The next morning we were up, getting ready, and off to school. Tess starts off the day headed to 6th Grade at Lava Ridge Intermediate School. Then Quincy leaves for 10th Grade at Snow Canyon High School. After that Coco heads to 2nd Grade and Santa Clara Elementary. And then last of all, Addy heads to 12th Grade and Snow Canyon High School.

Volleyball is in full swing...

I love when the rays of the sun break through the clouds like this...
One night, the doorbell rang super late. Quincy was asked to Homecoming. It's crazy to have another daughter growing up so quickly...
Then, Addy's friends came by to fill her room with oranges to ask her to Homecoming...
Beautiful sunset...
All the seniors can pay to have their own parking spot. I found Addy's today...
For Labor Day weekend we headed up to the Wayment Cabin. Cousins, 4 wheeling, treasure hunts, roasting hot dogs and s'mores, and lots of playtime. It was a quick weekend for us since our tire got a nail in it and we had to quickly get back to repair it. But we had fun while we were there...

Labor Day Weekend is the end of August and usually feels like the beginning of fall. Luckily in St. George we have a few more weeks to enjoy the heat of summer before it starts to cool down too much.
