Family Photo....kinda

Image So we were all at a wedding this past weekend and decided to take advantage and have someone snap a pic! Actually Gaylen and Linda were also part of the pic but I strategically cut them out (sorry guys...still love you) so we could have one of just our family. We haven't had a family photo for many, many moons! Anyway although it's kinda dorky it pretty much fits our family!

Our Sissy!

Image I basically forced Mandy to have a photo session. She thinks now that she's graduated there's no need in taking pictures, but "Mom's still like pictures no matter what your age" I tell her. I tried really hard to get Dylan to come along also, but no way was that happening. We just went to the grain field by our house and snapped away. She was so embarrassed, but we got some pretty good shots, and it kept mom happy so it was a win-win all the way around!ImageImage

Homecoming Parade '09

Image
GO TETON! Dylan along with a group of his friends (see Kyle peeking in the background) rode their horses in the homecoming parade this year. The were the "Redskins". Not sure who put all the war paint on them, but they were a crowd pleaser in the parade! If you look REAL close you can see Dylan "waving" at me, this is all I could get out of him. Interesting side note, the next day when the handprint paint on Dylan's chest was washed away, you could still the handprints! Yes he got a sunburn during the parade :)

WORST DAY OF SUMMER :(

Image Worst day of the summer, Shell leaving for Missouri :(
A few days before she left we met up with her in Idaho Falls for one last breakfast at Bubba's. Then we decided we better get a few pics since we'll NEVER see her again! We tried to talk mom into getting in on them too, but no, she pretty much refuses to have her picture taken. So the three of us posed for some pretty dorky shots, but it was nice spending the day together and I hope Shell & Josh are very happy in there new adventure, but not SO happy that they never return ;) LOVE YOU SHELL

Summer Walks

Image Mandy and I have tried to go walking this summer. Some days we do great, others, not so much. But we have the perfect place to walk, don't have to worry about traffic or anything annoying like that. We did however see a couple of skunks one night that had us pretty worried. Michelle thought it was funny that the only wild animal we would worry about would be skunks, since we know there are bears and wolves in the area! I think it would be much worse to smell like a skunk for days than get attacked by a bear or wolf!

South Leigh & MOM?!

Dylan was trying to talk Brad into going on horseride with him and some of his friends, Brad said he didn't really feel like it but I spoke right up and said "I'll go!" "Yeah right Mom, you don't want to go." Well much to his dismay I most certainly did want to go and obviously did, which so did Brad and Grandpa. I know it wasn't really the ride that Dylan had in mind, Him, Kyle, Wyatt, Dad, Grandpa, and MOM, ewwww......
Sorry son, but Mom's need to go SOMETIMES! It was such a perfect day for a ride. Not too hot or too cold. I packed a lunch (bonus! you wouldn't have got one without me along) and we had a picnic and the boys rolled huge rocks down the mountain. Brad and Grandpa decided they would try to outdue the boys by rolling a bigger one (see above picture) but it didn't work out so well for them!

Huckleberries & Vandalism!

Image Mandy! How dare you?! So we were on our way to pick some huckleberries and drove by this sign. I kinda thought it would look cool on my wall so we decided to see just how sturdy it was, turns out pretty dang sturdy! I had to document Mandy pickin berries because she HATES to go huckleberrying! Can you imagine? Actually I can remember being drug to the huckleberry patch with my mom, and when mom went to pick berries she stayed ALL day and picked every berry in sight! I like to have huckleberries in my freezer but I am certainly not a die-hard like mom used to be. I get bored pretty quick and am quite choosy with which berries I pick, only the BIG ones make my bucket, sorry Terri I know it drives you nuts but that's just the way it is. Anyway one day I know Mandy will be dragging her daughter to the huckleberry patch, even though she says NEVER in a MILLION years!
