Baby month! Wooooooo hooo!!
But first, we had a whole lot of fun while waiting for little Miss to make her grand debut.
Started off with a fantastic pre-4th of July weekend in Scofield attending Pleasant Valley Days.
The kids were excited to be in the parade on Uncle Casey's County Commissioner campaign float or on horseback with Grandpa Neil.
Meanwhile.. i sat and died in the heat on the side-lines. And parade routes are not good places for people who need to find a potty every 3 1/2 minutes.
On the 4th of July we spent the day fishing with the Peacocks at Blue Lake, a family favorite
37 weeks and very miserable
11th Anniversary.
We decided to take a "Baby Moon" or sorts and go to our first experience at Anniversary Inn. We stayed in a room decorated like an English country manor. It was so fun!
We also went to a DRIVE-IN MOVIE! I have never been to one before and really wanted to go. Since the closest one is in SLC, it was only logical that we stay over night as well.

It was amazing spending some time together. If it weren't for my gigantic preggo belly, we might have felt like newlyweds again for 24 hours.
That Sunday we went on a family walk........ accompainied by our weirdo cat, Willy. Who else has a cat that takes walks with you?
The Westwood Ward Summerfest
Now for a real adventure! What do you do when you are 38 weeks pregnant, due in 2 weeks and your family is having a reunion in Capitol Reef (in July?) Well..... you go. That's what!
We took our camp trailer all the way down and by the time we got there the campground was full, we couldn't find any of the Lake family and the camp host said there was no where else to camp....
So we drove back to a small town, tried in vain to get ahold of any of the fellow Lake reunion goers and ended up pulling off the road on a little dirt road and camped for the night.
Luckily it was only about 100 degrees at bedtime.
and we didn't want to unpack any of the trailer to make beds, so we the kids slept shared the small bunk beds, Luke slept on the tiny bed under the kithen table and I slept on the bench seat because we couldn't pull the bed out. It was so hot. SO miserable.... and such a long night.

We were relieved to find our proper campsite early the next morning.
From there it was still extremely hot and very exhausting, but we had a great time.
We even went on a hike. I think I earned a straight up ticket to heaven with that.
We survived (as in I miraculously survived) and we are so glad we went. It was difficult but very worth it!
Then........ we decided little baby girl could come any day. Look! Even my belly was excited!
