Dave Mathews Band Concert

Many of you know my Sister Amber and I are super fans of Dave Mathews.  Being in the fan club, Amber got a call that she was one a select few that got to meet Dave!!  My kind sister brought me.

Soooo... yes my evening was amazing!  It started out a bit rocky thanks to fabulous traffic in Salt Lake on the west side, but ended fantastic!!

We headed out with plenty of time; an hour to get down to USANA. We were to be at will call at 6:30 sharp to meet Dave.  Tad (my Bro-in-law) had our route set; to avoid congestion.  Then we met up with a cursed road closed sign that threw us in to rush hour traffic heading west.

As we watched the clock tick closer to 6:30, our once in a life time chance was slipping away, so were our spirits.  I kept just hoping and praying it would work out.  Ever want to just STOP the clock??

We arrived about 6:45 and Amber and I took off running through a gravel parking lot (in sandals) to the gates.  The workers told us we were at the wrong gate, because our seats were not on the floor, we yelled - WE HAVE TO MEET DAVE so they let us pass the first gate. As we came to the second they slapped on some wrist bands to get down to the "PIT" for the concert.  We walked right to Darryl - Dave's guy; and he was just getting the rest of the fans.  Many were late and in the same state as us.

But we made it, and it was fabulous.

Lucky and very HAPPY girls.  He was very warm, conversational and spent time talking and joking with us.  I thanked him for the free concert. He did apologize for canceling two years in a row.  Very nice and genuine guy.

Here we are at our seats with the concert going on...

Our "magic" bands got us down in the pit - where there were no seats, ultra fans and a short distance to the stage!  It was amazing!

Summer Stuff

We have had a fun and busy July so far.  The kids have been in swimming lessons the last couple weeks.  Alexis and Wyatt both passed:)  Hunter just hung out with Mom. Alexis had to swim the length of the pool and she did it!  I love that she is doing so well.

We had a great 4th of July weekend; fireworks and relaxing.  We got a swing set and the kids have loved it!

What we've been up to...

Once again I was chastised (kindly) by a friend to update my blog.

Here is the synopsis of the last couple months:

Alexis Turned 8!  My sweet and talented girl is so big!!

A couple days before her birthday, we surprised the kids with this...

They were very excited!  Mom and Dad might be crazy.

The kids finished up their sports.
Wyatt LOVES baseball, and is pretty good at it!

Alexis played soccer; she loves defense.

Then Alexis was Baptized, what a wonderful day!

We had a lot of family there with us, I am very proud of her!

The kitty, who Alexis named Darcy, is now tortured by Hunter, loved by Wyatt and carried everywhere by Alexis... or she does stuff like this...

Happy Birthday Hunter!

Is it possible to believe that Hunter is 2 already, or that he has only been with us two years?  I guess, cause it's true!  My Mom commented today that it seems like he has been with us much longer.  It seems that once a child enters your life, it's like they have always been with you.

Hunter is so much fun.  He talks a ton and is becoming very independent (to the point he screams if I try to help him do just about anything).  He is our little blond boy, and cute as can be.  He loves doing anything Wyatt does - when he meets people he says "Batman" instead of "Hello."  Hunter loves hanging out with his Dad.  He loves his sissy, and she is very sweet to him.  Mommy loves him tons too!

Happy Birthday Baby Man!!

Happy (belated) Birthday Wyatt!!

Our wonderful Wyatt turned 5 on February 15!
We love him tons!  He is so much fun.  He still loves Batman.  He loves playing with his friends, the color orange, and fishing.  He asks all the time when it will be warm enough to go camping.  He likes hanging out with this little brother and is sweet to his Mom.  Of course, he wants to be just like Daddy.

We love you Wyatt!!

He is such a handsome boy!!
