We finally meet!
We finally met my friend Denise, whom I became acquainted with through blogging, and her little family. We have been communicating through both of our pregnancies, and through these first few months of being twin mommies. We took their pics this last Saturday. It was fun to hang out with some fellow twin parents. Not only are they twin parents but they have twin boys just a couple months apart from ours. Her boys are so darling. Let's not forget little Gavin her soon to be 2 year old. I instantly fell in love with him. He is the cutest kid with the sweetest smile. Of course his mother has to deal with his little two year old attitude, so she may not completely agree, but as I said I instantly fell in love with him.

Park City Contiued
Well the Park City pictures come to a close. There is some way funny video that as soon as we can get the release forms signed will be posted here - just as a teaser though - picture Ashlee and Jill, spatulas, chocolate, the willy wonka theme, the ginger bread man with purple hair, bath robes, and a choreographed finale extravaganza... now you know why I can't just post pictures... you must see it!
We had such a good time. Most of the weeks it was Grandma and Grandpa and the Loves. Thanks for the laughs, TONS of help, putting up with the screaming babies, and for the lasting (cheesy but true) memories.

Ashlee beating Tyson at Mario Kart - that's right you read that correctly.

Peyton, Grandpa's right hand man. They were best buds all week. You are such a great Grandpa Bruce--to play soccer until the wee hours of the morning and until you can barely walk at all from the fatigue of taking him all around Park City.

Its true what they say about glasses, they do make you look incredibly more handsome than without..to whom do those glasses belong??

Our fam at breakfast! Thanks Grandma & Grandpa Yates! We had SOO much fun this past week.

the end.

Thanksgiving
This year it was the Pickett / Tait year to celebrate Thanksgiving. We started out with breakfast at Nate's dad's, which was fantastic, then onto Grandma Taits for an extremely yummy thanksgiving dinner with all the fixins. Like yams! Yummy candied yams...mmmmm.... We had plenty of help all day long (really all week long) but the boys became more acquainted with their Tait relatives. Which was a lot of fun.

Troy and Sheri. The Pro's with twins (being parents of twins themselves). Troy was able to use an unconventional method of calming down Eli with the Ute fight song. Strangely whenever Grandma Tait tried to take Eli from Troy he would cry until he was back with Troy again...go figure.

Although Uncle Ryan contests it...Amorie thinks that Ryan is partial to Eli since everyone thinks that they look so much alike.

Auntie Em! Auntie Em! What would we do without her?

Everyone at the Tait Feast! I will be sending a better copy out to everyone later. It was fun to be back at the Tait Thanksgiving after having been what seem to be a really really long time.

Park City Part 1
We had a nice trip up to Park City and forgive us, but there is a ton of pictures and video that we want to post. So we are going to try and break them into different segments to give you all a glimpse into the AWESOME week we had.
The boys watched the kids and the girls went out to see Twilight along with every other women in America.

Eli is finally smiling for the camera..Yay!! He is also smiling as much as our Sam now. He really came alive for Grandma in this pic.

Aunt Lisa found these cute swimsuits for the boys and we were so excited to finally use them. They loved the steam shower up at Park City. We put them in it almost everyday. They love water...they would stay in the bath or shower all day long if they could.

Here they are with dad.

crap...
We went to what was supposed to be a party--it actually turned out to be anything but...
As you can see this is a very sad day--just look at Eli's face when he saw the final score. NOT happy!
My theory--Max Hall was promised half of the BCS money--IF he threw the game away. Do you have any evidence to prove otherwise? He was Utah's player of the game with more yardage passed to them then all the BYU receivers COMBINED! But can you blame him? With only a chance to share, at best, a three way tie for the conference title...what would you do--refuse the half a million? Smart choice Max.
Thanks Mike and Britt for the good times at your house tonight. And to Andy for a renewal of friendship once the game was over.

Oh what a beautiful morning!
My sweet smily sam! He is such a smily little guy. Almost anything you do makes him smile. This is how I'm greeted when I go in to get them in the morning. Eli is a little more stubborn. He will usually give me a couple smiles, but then its back to serious business...or crying. I can't seem to get his smile on camera. Every time I go to get a picture of him smiling he doesn't want to cooperate. He is so darn sweet though! ...When he wants to be.

Grandma Allphin put us in these cute little hoodies! And there was no way mom could resist taking a pic!

Our First Family Halloween

Before we went trick-or-treating to Grandma's House Nate was snuggling with the boys.

Grandma's House Halloween Party

Are we not the cutest boys you ever saw?

Cousin Belle was a pumpkin too!

Grandma & Grandpa Yates

Yes, my BROTHER Brian...he went as Nacho Libre, but he had to do the DO first...we had to leave before he could complete his costume - too bad.

Little Milestones...
Things are really looking up at the Pickett house today. Right at this very moment my two precious little boys have put themselves to sleep in cribs! With no crying for Sam and very little for Eli. They may not stay asleep long, but good for them! The last few days I have been puting them down awake and letting them cry. I didn't use the scream it out method, but it has still been hard to listen to them cry. They are no where near perfect but I am now seeing improvement and light at the end of the tunnel.

On a Sunday afternoon...
Our friends Chris and Kailee invited us to dinner, so we ventured out and took the boys. But first we stopped at Grandma's for a visit. We had a great time and the food was delicious. Afterwards they helped us feed the boys. They are very excited about their little girl on the way and the boys and us can't wait till Madison is here!!! Thanks Boomers.

I'm a Mom
Life is so crazy and so dang hard right now that it's not easy to see that my greatest blessings are screaming right in front of me. I am just looking down at them now sleeping and thinking of how long I prayed for them. Wow, and they are here! Being a Mom is not quite what I expected it to be. I am still trying to figure out how to describe it. All I know is at this very moment I am so overwhelmed with joy that these two precious little men are mine. They will probably be waking me up from much needed sleep in a few hours, but that's okay because it means they are here.

New Cam
I have always had a love for picture taking. I still have my very first camera that my parents got me for Christmas way back when. So, I just got an awesome new camera, which I know nothing about yet, except that it is awesome. I wanted to test it out while I was in St. George. My neices were up for a photo shoot and Ang was willing to watch the boys so I couldn't resist. We had so much fun taking these pictures. We took little E along and got a couple pics of him too.
