Welcome, Little One.
I fell off the blogging bandwagon. Again. In the year since I last blogged, there has been a significant life changing event. We welcomed a new member into the family on May 14th.
Meet Tate Joseph Pierce. We are now a proud Pierce Party of FIVE!
Lots to say, lots of pictures to post, and lots of love to share. Here's hoping I can actually keep up with blogging, which ideally serves as a form of journaling this amazing journey through life that I've been blessed with!

First Day of Kindergarten
First Day Of School
~Author Unknown~
He started school this morning,
And he seemed so very small.
As I walked there beside him
In the Kindergarten hall.
And as he took his place beside
the others in the class,
I realized how all too soon
Those first few years can pass.
Remembering, I saw him as
He first learned how to walk.
The words that we alone made out
When he began to talk.
This little boy so much absorbed
In learning how to write.
It seems as though he must have grown
To boyhood overnight.
My eyes were blurred by hastily
I brushed the tears away
Lest by some word or sign of mine
I mar his first big day.
Oh how I longed to stay with him
And keep him by the hand
To lead him through the places
That he couldn't understand.
And something closely kin to fear
Was mingled with my pride.
I knew he would no longer be
A baby by my side.
But he must have his chance to live,
To work his problems out,
The privilege to grow and learn
What life is all about.
And I must share my little boy
With friends and work and play;
He's not a baby anymore --
He's in Kindergarten today.

Kinder Kick-Off Party
One way to get a child excited about starting kinder is to celebrate it! Last Friday we went to a Kindergarten Kick-Off party at the park with some of Tucker's church/preschool friends. The kids so much enjoyed running around at the spray park and bucket fishing in the "swamp." We are so thankful for friends to share these important milestones with!

3 Year Old Macy
Macy turned THREE on June 12th. She wanted a pink cowgirl birthday party, and since she is our Macy Moo, it seemed fitting to incorporate b&w cow print into the party theme. Birthday pics to come!
At the age of three, Macy can be summed up in a few S's: sweet, stubborn, strong-willed, SILLY, smart, spunky, sensitive, and sassy. She is everything and more I imagined my girl would be. She loves to dance, sing, draw/color/write, play with baby dolls, cook, dress-up, read/listen to books, take baths/play in the water, and torment her bubba (lol). She is still our champion eater. She eats just about anything- including veggies! At her 3 year check-up she was 33 lbs and 40 inches tall- this kept with her trend of falling within 25-50% for weight and 95% for height. She wears size 4T clothing and size 10 shoe. Her height (and Tucker's somewhat smaller than average size- he's only a couple of inches taller than her) is cause for people to constantly ask if she and Tucker are twins. At first Tucker would get highly annoyed and blurt out, "No, she's my BABY sister!" but now he just smiles, sighs, and lets me explain. They do look a lot alike (curls and the exact same color of hair), and it probably doesn't help that I often dress them in coordinating outfits. Which, by the way, my mom has informed me that I need to STOP doing that once Tucker starts Kindergarten next month. I see her point, but he's only 5 years old....still a little boy! At least in my eyes. I know we are in for some big changes in a few short weeks once he starts elementary school...sniff, sniff.

Tucker's Pre-K Graduation
Tucker began FBC Weekday School when he was just 2 years old, and graduated from Pre-K in May. Next month he will begin Kindergarten. What a big boy he is becoming!
