Jia En Wanna Say "Hi"!

Janine Lin Jia En (林佳恩) is what I am going to name her.

Janine, from the root word Jane, pronoun as Je-nin. In Hebrews it means, God is Gracious and Merciful.

Of couse Jia En (佳恩)
(佳) means above and more than average, double portion.
(恩) means grace.

That explains why I name her Janine and Jia'en. We have learnt from the Bible that a person's name is very important, it might plays a part in attaining your destiny.

[And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness."]

Therefore I want my girl to be reminded that God is always gracious and merciful to us and He has a great destiny for her. She has to learn in life how to depend on God's grace and that she has His portion and can always ask Him for double anointing.

By the way Jia'en wants to say HI to her uncles and aunties. If you can see carefully, she is waving her little hand at us when the doctor was doing the scan. It amazes us. I think she knows that we are peeping at her.
She has been very corporating, she will stay at her position when the doctor did the rest of the scans. She will only do some punching and no shadow kick to tell us that she is enjoying herself.

No more playing hide and seek.

The doctor estimated that she weighs about 700 gm now. But the poor mummy had put on 12kg since then. Where on earth did the rest of 11.3kg goes too. I wonder...

Seeing the query in my face, the nurse assured me that my weight gain is perfectly normal and it's healthy. Appromiately 3kg per month, and my tummy is getting bigger instead of my size. This would means that she is absorbing all the nutrients. Goodie goodie, but she is still so small, 700gm weighs lighter than a bunch of bananas... I can't imagine.

But I am beginning to feel her movements more and more. It's kinda cute especially when you know that she responds you will a kick or a punch when you talked to her. She might not understand what you are saying though but I am sure she can feel the love and warmth I have given her when I called her by her name or when I greeted her Good Morning etc.

But the daddy of hers, still can't feel anything and complaints that it is so unfair. Well, I guess that's the benefits of being a mummy, a reward for carrying the baby all over the island. So, keep your compliants to yourselves, fathers to be, I am sure you guys don't wanna swop places with us ladies.

The doctor says that from 20-24 weeks I should be able to feel the movements more and more. Yes, I agreed. Even as I am typing she is busying showing her interest in what I am saying about her. I have to cherish this few weeks because as she grows bigger, her movements will be restricted, thus she will be more gentle in her movements. I might not even notice it then.

4 more months. She will be ready to see the world. Welcome Ms Singapore!
