Are you taking my pictures again?

After a long day of filming, Im pretty sure that mummy is more tired than the baby. I think she sort of enjoy having so many people around her, playing with her.... poor mummy is doing all the talking and playing host at the same time....

Why is daddy always hiding behind the square thingy?

Are you taking photos for me?

Image

Sleeping sweetly in her stroller. While we had our dinner at the kopitam need our block. Showing everybody "I Love Daddy". I really had a feeling that Janine is closer to wy than to me. Hmm... She always enjoys having fun time with dadyy and always look forward to that moment. The only time she will look for me is during feeling time and sleeping time... I wonder why? Maybe I should increase the frequency of play time with her.

Baby Janine's eyes are getting bigger and rounder. =)

Poor mummy's eyes getting smaller due to lack of sleep.

A BABY QUESTIONS TO GOD

A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"

God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy."

God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you. And you will feel your angel's love and be very happy." Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?"

God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And what am I going to do when I want to talk to you?"

God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray." "Who will protect me?"

God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking it's life." "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore."

God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you."

At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name."

"You will simply call her, "MOM" .

Lift a mother's spirit, send this to every mother

A Point To Ponder

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot about the matter. The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle, fascinated by its colour and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed the mother hurried him to the hospital. He died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how she was going to face her husband. When the distraughted father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.

QUESTIONS:

1. What were the five words?

2. What is the implication of this story?

ANSWER:

The husband just said "I am with you, Darling." The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behavior. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened. No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to be blamed, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out some warmth in Human Relationship.

Shop till you drop

No more luxury of reaching the airport late while checking in online with SQ. This time round, we are flying Jet*. Meaning, we have to check in super early in order to take some good seats. Reckon that we have to reach Singapore Changi Airport at 0930 and grab some breakfast right after we’ve checked in. If I’m not wrong, we are on a afternoon flight. Therefore, we have to be prepared that no lunch will be served. Which means a good breakfast is VERY important. Not forgetting to stock up some beverages and snack items. I remembered my experience with Air Asia; 2 hours of flight can be very tormenting. Especially when it’s a free seating flight! Everybody is cutting queue, a lot of pushing and staring businesses too…. No food, no drink, no entertainments…. I do hope that my experience with Jet* will be a pleasant one.

Itinerary for Bangkok

Day One
Touch down. Airport – Hotel exchange. Check in (which I think would probably take us an hour or two) Unload stuff in hotel room (hmm, I wonder if I will have time to take a shower…) Next have a quick lunch at the small little restaurant just across Asia Hotel. Follow by intense shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall. Have dinner at Pratu Nam market. We’ll going to shop at Platinum again. Unload stuff in hotel room. Have a quick shower. Massage at the shop right beside the hotel. Zzzz

Day Two
We’ll probably go swimming in the morning. Breakfast will be taken in the hotel’s bistro café. Take a Sky train to Chatuchak, we’ll probably be there till afternoon, have lunch at the hawkers there. Take a tuk tuk back to the hotel. Rest and relax a bit in the hotel room. Head on to Central Shopping Mall and get some BR*ssss. I might give it a miss this time round because I still have some new ones from last year… But of cuz, I’m keeping myself opened if there are real nice ones to grab. Dinner would probably end up somewhere along the streets. We will just get a quick bite cuz the real (delicious seafood) dinner awaits us at Chinatown!!! Have a quick bite followed by round two of intensive shopping at MBK and of cuz dinner at Chinatown and HAPPY HOURS at pak pong.

Day Three
Have a good and relaxing swim in the morning. Breakfast will be taken in the hotel’s bistro café again, I’m sure. Don’t ask me why, IT’S PROVIDED, u idi@t! Next on the list is…. None other than… Shopping, shopping and more shopping at MBK, Siam Mall, Platinum Mall etc….. Shop till you drop! Did someone mention about Lunch and dinner? Who cares…! Just have some street hawker food to satisfy your tummy. We ladies have some unfinished business with the MALLS. We need to satisfy our cravings for cheap shoes, bags, cloths and accessories. After such a tired day, I’m sure a good long shower is the best, not forgetting a powerful 2 hour session of thai massage right after your hot bath…. Wah… HEAVEN!

Day Four
Swim off those extra fats we have consumed over the past 3 days. Breakfast again? Same place? I’m sure we will be bored with the so call ABF by the last day if they haven’t intend to change the menu or the buffet spread. Because it’s the last day, I think we should think through if we have left any items out from our shopping list. How about the nice pair of shoes you regretted buying. Why wait, ladies. It’s now or never. Grab whatever you want to buy, don’t return home with a heart full of regrets. Just enjoy the process of shopping and getting what you need. So long as it’s within your shopping budget. A gentle reminder is that we should not buy unnecessary stuffs.

Most importantly, don’t over stress your wallet and/or your credit card. That’s my advice.
Get ready to get home. HOME SWEET HOME.

I wouldn't have any chances to take a look at these photos if it wouldn't be the TV program that I am taking part.

Oh yes, for those who do not know. Me, wy and Janine will be featured in the new TV program called "Hey Baby!". If I didn't remember wrongly, we should be featuring in the 4th episode. Date and Time of the program is to be confirmed.

Because of this program we have to dig out our photos during our courtship.

Looking at these old photso make me wanna laugh.... hahaha....

Make over

Make over sure looks nice.

Is it because of the standard of the photographer?

Or is it because of the skills of the lighting staff?

How about the studio environment? Does it plays a part?

The credit might also goes to the makeup artise?

Hey how about the models themselves..... I guess so.

Image

Looking at my friend, Jasmine and her precious Maia, they looked beautiful.

This isn't the first time Jasmine had her make over done.

Likewise to Maia. I guess you really have to capture those shots to your little ones else you'll never have the chance again.

I think I would probably do likewise to my Janine.

Thinking which I still have a free voucher for a family portrait which expires in Dec 2006.

Maybe I should quickly get it done.

Dinner at Geylang No Sign Board

This is the worst seafood I ever had in my life.

We order chilli crab, prawns, veg, soup, meat, fish, horfan, noddle etc.. for the table of 2. Thou it only cost us $509 for 13 adults, 3 children and one baby (of cuz she had her milk only) but the food was so yucky.

The veg were salty, soup was miserable, prawn and fish was unfresh. The Ee-fu noodle tuned out to be a hard and yucky beehoon. I think the best dish is the Horfan but but but it was too satly. Haiz...

In the end we went across the street and had yummy durains instead.

Although it was a bad dinner but everybody is still holding on to their smiley faces because we have a birthday boy here. He is nevertheless wy 大舅 Janine's 大舅公.

Image

This is he. Smiling from ear to ear, with my baby Janine of cuz...
Happy Birthday to 大舅公!

Image

This is Janine's 大舅姆. If you don't understand the chinese culture well enough. It means the wife of the grand big uncle.

Image

This is Janine's 舅舅, Zhi Yang. He is polishing his skills to carry babies...
I think he is planning to get married in a few years time.

Image

Ah ha! There she is, Zhi Yang's wife-to-be. Whom I yet to know her name after so many years...

Image

She sure looks a bit blur, being carried around by so many people.

Image

That's it! Baby Janine is finally back to her 阿公's hands.

Bangkok oh Bangkok

Yes, I'm going to Bangkok. Again. Well, Bangkok is my once a year short vacation hot pick.

A place where I happily replenish my shoes, bags, accessories as well as *bras (heeheehee).

Talking about shoes, all my shoes gave way since I haven't been wearing them for the past ten months. So I'm targeting to get five pair of new lovely shoes at the price of 199 baht per pair. Yahoo....

199 baht x 5 = 995 baht
That's about 42 SGD for 5 pair of shoes! I think I can only get one here.

ImageAs usual, we'll be staying in Asia Hotel which is right in front of Ratchathewi SKYTRAIN Station.

You'll get a Free SKYTRAIN ticket if you're staying for 3 consecutive nights. Either get 1 free One-day-Pass or 100 baht Stored Value Ticket (1 per/ticket)... Cool right?

Image
4 days 3 night stay + flying with Jet* only cost me about $312 (incl. of SG Tax) not forgetting 500 baht BKK Tax. My total bill will be SGD 333. Nice figure.

ImageThis is it! My heaven! Presenting Mah Boon Krong (MBK) Shopping Mall. This shopping mall has it all. On the top floors you will find all the copies and clothings normally found in the markets. The prices are already low, no need for haggling. The rest of the mall is filled with interesting shops.

Image
Oh by the way, Platimun Fashion Mall in Pratu Nam on Phetchaburi Road has opened. A new shopping place with cheap and nice stuff. My colleague was there last week. She mentioned that shopping at the new Platimun Mall means you can give Chatuchak Weekend Market in Bangkok a miss! Wow wow wow, my jaws almost dropped.

read this....

"I used to think that the widest selection of women's clothing and accessories could be found in Chatuchak Weekend Market. However, on my third visit to Bangkok, I discovered Platinum Mall. The mall itself is huge with wide aisles and wonderful airconditioning. The selections are wide and wholesale prices are quite low and can be had if you buy at least 3 pieces. I found myself buying more from Platinum than from Chatuchak - and this despite going to Chatuchak on two consecutive days! Admittedly, if you're in for younger, more experimental fashions, the best finds are still in Siam Square. But there's still a lot to see and buy in Platinum Mall. Oh, and as with many malls in Bangkok, it's well worth eating at the food court on the top floor. Accessories galore (and quite unique ones at that)! Clothes - though the women's sizes tend to run really small. As for food at the food court, try the orsuan (fried oysters on a hot plate). Your baht will go very far in this mall. =) "

How to get there?
It's across from Amari Watergate Hotel (centrally placed between Siam Square and Sukhumvit Road). Next to Panthip Plaza, THE I.T. mall in Bangkok. Nearest BTS Skytrain station is Ratchathewi - but if you take the Skytrain it's quite a walk in the heat.

Baby Janine new progress

Beside making sounds like ger, coo and ooo. She giggles more often now. Espeacially when we make funny faces or smiles at her.

ImageShe is a very friendly baby who will smile at anyone and everybody who smiles at her.

She loves to look at faces and moving objects especially those with sound effects. She is turning 2 month old this weekend and she is now able to sit on her own with cushions on her back.

ImageThe cutest part is, she will always call for help when she realised that she is sliding downwards. This really amazes me.

Dinner @ Morton's

Image

My fist visit to Morton's, The Steakhouse was fantastic!

Located in the 5* Oriental Hotel next to the Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre at Suntec City as well as across the road from the "durian place" or "housefly" by the bay.

My visit was accompanied with the best "once a year" Fireworks for the celebration of Singapore's 41st Birthday.

Romantic ahh? Too bad it was a company dinner.

ImageHaving steak there somewhat makes me feels like I have reached heaven.

Image
Not forget the best Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake topped with a scoop of vallina icecream... I thought I've reached 3rd heaven.
