Finally a stocking for pint! Elsie and Ava will be popping up tomorrow night 8pm est on madeit

Today I stocked my made it store for the first time in months.

 

Chased the soon to be 2 year old around in the sun.

Took a gorgeous shot of my big girl, that made me realise how big she is growing which made me feel kinda sad.  just a little.

Finished off a little embroidery that's been floating around in my brain for ages.

and gardened in the sunshine, but you don't need to see that bit.  My butt in the air, nah not a great sight

Yet another house move in the land of pint.  Hopefully this will be it for a few years as the new digs are ACE!  A few pics to share of my fav parts of the grand old house we've made our new home. 

There are so many amazing features, like the door bell.

So these are the ace bits.  I've omitted the 70's reno bits, but you know what, they're actually growing on me too.  So now the moves done, it's back to some sewing! 

My creative space

Yesterday I was a bit spoilt and got a new iPad. So very flash and techno. But being the techno dunce I am, it's taken me all morning just figure out how to use it to blog! And then trying to post photos using blogspot....so confusing. I've downloaded blogsy and tumblr but am trying to post this one using blogpress. Let's see if it works. I still haven't figured out how to transport a photo, I took this one with the camera.

Anyways, this is what should be in my creative space, along with some cutting out of some Babbits. But for now I'm trying to figure out this blogsy stuff. What do you use? Any help totally appreciated!

My new obsessions.  Embroidery and books.  And after a visit to the library to find out more about different stitches, I can do more of both!  Reading about stitches.  Oh dear, the softies are well and truly being ignored.

a break

A break away from the sea for a little inland farm.
A break from howling winds for freeeeezing stillness.
A break from wool felt and polyfil for calico, threads and an image made a year ago

Time to chill (literally), make some friends, scour country oppies and explore tiny towns

Time to play in the mud, admire a land of redgums, wetlands and mountains and to stop and comtemplate the little things.  Or in the case of Otis, talk to all those little things

 Time for a break.  Shame it goe so quickly.

I have a helper these school holidays.  A little lady with a penchant for singing really bad music ....at the top of her lungs.  Who wakes at the crack of dawn and thinks everyone else needs to hear her sing said bad music.  A little lady who will be 8 soon.  Eight!  A little lady who is growing up way too quickly. 

She helps me entertain her younger siblings.  Reading, playing barbies or swimming the seas as a mermaid, mooing round the farm or serving up delicious delights.  She is sweet, patient and caring.  And a terrific model and critique.  Audrey babbit got the thumbs up.  phew!
