Santa's Temptations...

No, not "satan's" temptations, that's a whole 'nother blog entry completely!
No, what I said was "Santa's" temptations...yes, those sweet, yummy, melt-in-your-mouth delicious Christmas Cookies!

Ok...so, yeah...maybe they are satan's temptations. I mean, who can resist them? Just look at poor Santa... Maybe we should be more health concious and leave carrots and celery this year? Maybe some skim milk instead of whole???

Uhh...maybe I'm just saying that because I already ate them all!!! Ugh...ok, yeah, defintately satan's temptations! But we sure had a lot of messy fun making them!

Triplets!

HaHa...no, I'm not pregnant, silly
gooses! But, we did add 3 new members to our family this weekend! A big welcome to Winker(white), Brownie(brown, duh) and Dragon(black)... This only was allowed to happen because Brian PROMISED he and the kids would take care of them, and I'd never have to lift a finger!!! Uh, yeah...we moms know what that really means...great for the first week, downhill from there. Oh well...what can I say? I'm a sucker for rodents...ummm...not really, but you have to admit, they are sorta cute,
right?

Our Little Part...

Brian and I try to do our part to teach our kids about being grateful for what we have. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to do that, so this year, I went with Jacob and Maegan (everyone else was sick that week) and we decorated the Spokane Ronald McDonald House for the holiday. It wasn't much, but we had fun, and it was nice to help the house again. We try to help out there when we can. We also collect soda pop tops for them to recycle. They get money for it to use for the house. (You can do that for your local RMH too.) We can never say thanks enough to them for letting me stay there when Nathan was born in 2006. We were living an hour and a half away from Spokane (where Nathan was born), and so the Ronald McDonald House let me stay there for 2 weeks while Nathan was in the NICU. It is a wonderful gift of service that they give to so many who's children are in local hospitals. It was a great gift for us to do our little part and serve them this Thanksgiving.

So Much To Be Thankful For...

We were able to have Thanksgiving dinner with my parents this year, which was very nice! We had a good dinner, no major catastrophes...phew! It also happened to be Brian's 34th birthday this Thanksgiving! I don't have any pictures of us celebrating the birthday part, but I just wanted to give him props for surviving through a life of 5 kids, pharmacy school and me for as long as he has! Love you babe. ;)

Our Newest Reminder...

So here is our newest reminder of love...I'm trying to put sentiments on the walls of our home that remind us who we should be, or what we should be doing to be a better family. When my kids are bickering, I have them come and read this and explain to me what it means. It's actually working...well, at least it gets them to stop arguing for the minute that it takes them to read it! ;)But seriously, it is helping the harmony in our home....and that is a blessing I'm truly grateful for!

Yet again, another difference in the minds of boys and girls...

So, when Brian and I went to bed last night, we found that little "elves" had left surprises for us under our pillows.

I could tell that mine was from Maegan...

This is a picture of what she left me...awh...so sweet...

Then we checked under Brian's pillow, knowing there must be something for him too...

And there was...a note from Ben (we could tell by the handwriting)...

Yet again showing the difference between the mind of a boy and a girl. Well, at least he left Brian's favorite candy! ;)
