Chase's new trick

Chase has never been slow at anything except gaining weight.  (He tips the scale at 27 pounds!) He rolled over when he was weeks old, walked at 10 months, talked circles around his peers, potty trained before 3 years old, and now he is riding his bike without training wheels!
ImageDaniel took his training wheels off this afternoon.  After an extremely short lesson on starting and stopping, Chase took off.  We went for our family walk with no problems.  He fell down a few times trying to get off his bike after he was stopped.  He just jumped up and said, "I am a tough guy."
It seems like just yesterday we took Carter's training wheels off.  I remember how I couldn't stop thinking about how much he had grown up.  Now, Chase is all grown up on two wheels. Good thing we have another one on the way to teach later!

Tough Guy

Daniel is jealous.  He says he always wanted a black eye.  Carter succeeded.  This picture was taken a week later.  It was much worse.  While playing at a ward party Carter ran into a chair. Daniel told Carter to tell people his mom hit him.  I am so glad Carter didn't listen.  I can only imagine how CPS would have reacted!  Especially since he is missing his two bottom teeth also.

I'm 4

Chase had a birthday party with a few friends on Monday.  We went to the local pool...VERY COOL.  Then he had friends come to the house for pizza, cake, and ice cream.
ImageChase loves to swim, but he is so skinny that he doesn't last long in the pool.  He gets too cold.

Walmart provided his cake for us... I was just too lazy to do it myself. (Excuse the belly, ponytail, and lack of makeup.   I don't know how to get ready at all anymore.)
ImageChase gets to be a real cowboy now, just like Grandpa.  He has his own guns.  They are cap guns, and we bought lots of caps.

Happy Birthday Chase!

My darling Chase.  Oh, how I have fallen in love with you.  You are the cutest little man!  It is does crazy things to my heart to think about how big you have gotten, even though you have been my little tiny.  You know just how to treat your mama to make her melt right into your hands.
ImageThis Year you have grown up so much!  Sometimes I have a hard time believing it has been 4 years since you were born.  This year you have really matured.  You can buckle yourself into your own car seat, drive the little tykes hummer like a pro, hit the ball over our back fence, and ride a two wheeled scooter with no problems.  You have also almost grown out of the whining and stopped riding in the stroller.  You play so well on your own.  I always tell people I am so lucky because my kids are so easy to take care of.  Thank you for making my job enjoyable and easy.
ImageI am sorry I wasn't there this morning when you woke up for your birthday, but after a weekend away I will have plenty of energy to make it up to you!   You daddy and I love you so much!  You will have a great party tomorrow!

Mothers Day

Carter gave me the cutest Mothers Day present.  He made it in school.  It is a book!  The first page says.  I love you so much because you bake me chocolate chip.  You take care of me when I am Sick. Love, Carter.  The second page says...

All about you Mom!
My mom's name is Mary
She is 28 years old.
She weighs 35 pounds.
Her shoe size is 28.
She has reddish brownish hair
Her favorite food is enchiladas.
Her favorite color is pink.
Her favorite T.V. show is The Biggest Loser.
Her biggest wish is to have the best kid in the world and
when she had me her wish came true.
Her best friend is Kelly.

I laughed my head off.  35 pounds!!!!!!!  Wow, that would be skinny.  Size 28 in shoes....ummmm  maybe in some other country.  Ok, but really, My biggest wish is to have the best kid in the world and he made it come true.  I am so glad he knows that he means that much to me, and in a way I did have one of my biggest wishes come true.  This pregnancy has caused me to be really moody.  I am not normally so crazy.  It is taking its toll on my family.  Instead of yelling at everyone all of the time I go to my room.  Thus, everyone and everything are being ignored.  I am trying to do better, but I have always been pretty even tempered so this is craziness for me.
Only a few more months family!
