Here’s something that’ll make you feel good about humanity — Walt Disney World isn’t all fireworks and fairy dust this time of year. For Thanksgiving 2025, they teamed up with Coalition for the Homeless and Harbor House of Central Florida to deliver 1,000 full Thanksgiving meals to Central Florida families and individuals who really needed them.
The crew — Disney chefs and cast members — rolled up to the Coalition center with carts full of ingredients on November 25, working hard to prep everything. This isn’t a one-off either: they’ve been doing it for over 25 years, and over that time have served more than 25,000 meals.
To pull off a feast of this size, they whipped up:
400 pounds of roasted turkey 220 pounds of mashed potatoes 25 gallons of turkey gravy 50 gallons of cranberry sauce 100 pounds of green beans 140 pies
Disney’s Executive Chef John Prieto said partnering with the Coalition is a holiday tradition they look forward to every year — because it’s about more than feeding people. It’s about caring for them, reminding them they’re not forgotten, and giving them a seat at the table during a season that can feel heavy.
This is the kind of holiday magic that matters.
Now I want to hear from you…
What are your family traditions?
What do you look forward to every year during the holidays?
✨ Please, no flash photography — just share the magic
