Since my last post we were able to go to the lake with some dear friends from Kansas City, the Endicotts and the Matthews. They all drove down to lake Ouachita and we spent a really nice weekend together. The Endicotts have a little boy named Jake who is just 2 months younger than Abigail, and they had a big time together. The Matthews have a 6 month old named Levi who was absolutely precious.
The next weekend was the 4th of July! Unfortunately Abigail had a fever and we ended up only spending 1 day and 2 nights at the lake. Her fever just got too high and we needed to be home and with our stuff. It was quite a doozy of a virus too...lasted for 5 full days. Here are a couple pictures from our short time on the lake for the weekend. And we DID get to do the parade and night fireworks on the boat.
And now...da-dada-daaaaaa...the kitchen! The Monday that we got back from the lake with our friends, the renovation finally began! It was loud at our house, but thankfully I went to Mom's every day and ate lunch and had Abigail nap at her house. So thankful for that. The project took a full 2 weeks, but we couldn't be happier. It looks SO good. So without further delay, the before and after pictures...

We replaced everything but the cabinets! Woohoo for new kitchens and a space that we are really proud of!
