Let's Talk Movies
We love movies at our house. We watch them as often as we can. We love going to the movies, watching them on our TV, i Pad, i Phone, you name it. Most of the movies we see have a super hero or two, a hobbit, or some flying object, but lately we have managed to see two that don't have either of those things..
So if you know us at all, you know that we subscribe pretty heavily the the Whedonesque world. It probably boarders a little bit on the obsession side, but we LOVE it!! I don't remember a time where there wasn't some Joss Whedon thing we were into--Buffy, Firefly, Angel, Toy Story, Dr. Horrible, Dollhouse, Avengers, and Agents of Shield. We love them all. Just recently we watched
Oh my goodness!!! It was good!! So sweet and so well done. So Joss Whedon. Basically a bunch of friends got together and shot it over a weekend at the Whedon home.So many of our favorite characters from past Whedon projects. The chemistry between Alexis Denisof and Amy Acker is amazing and Nathan Fillion is so funny. I loved the black and white and it was so fun to see Shakespeare taking place in a modern house somewhere in Beverly Hills. Seriously, it made you laugh, made you cry, made you want to be there with them. If you haven't seen it, it is a MUST!!
We are also total Disney fans and this one did not disappoint. I can honestly say it is in my top 3 favorite Disney movies of all time. I loved it!! The music, the characters, the scenery, all of it-Gorgeous!! I was in heaven from the first song to the last. I loved that I saw it with my girls and my sister. I couldn't help picturing it on a stage the entire time. So excited to hear that is exactly where it is going. Loved it and can't wait to see it again.

I've Gone Country
I don't know what it is, but lately I have totally gone country!! It could be my love of this show.
I am pretty sure it started with my Carrie Underwood station on Pandora and then I heard the song Austin from Blake Shelton and then it was We Were Us from Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban, and then...well it just kept going from there. I am driving my family crazy with all my fun new country music. I even made them watch all of the country awards this year.
I love, love, love Nashville. It is my favorite guilty pleasure.. I even have a Nashville station that I love. Can't wait for the new episodes to start.

Christmas 2013
Christmas came and went quietly at the Weaver house this year-exactly as we like it!! Retail kind of kills some of the Christmas fun, but we were still able to find time to spend with each other and do all of the things we love. We even had Aunt J-Me here to celebrate with us. I can't tell you the last time we had family with us during the Holidays, so that was really fun for us.
Many years ago we embraced the Franz family tradition of doing all of our celebrating on Christmas Eve. It always starts with dinner. This year it was prepared by the amazing staff at Famous Dave's. I am totally thinking that is going to be a new tradition. My favorite part was not having to cook it and clean up was a snap. Such a good idea, so glad I came up with it.
Then it is over to the tree for family pictures. I am horrible with a camera, but I love torturing the kids by making them pose. Here are a few of my favorites.
Ryen's favorite gift this year was her Buffy the Vampire Slayer poster. "Once More, With Feeling" is her very favorite episode and the poster is a copy of the playbill. It is pretty stinkin' cool.

Christmas past
I love Christmas and all of its traditions. I love to decorate the house inside and out, all of the Christmas cards, the tree, everything!! One of my favorite traditions is that we take pictures under the Christmas tree every year. The first time I remember doing it was in Faro in 2006 and we have been doing it ever since. My kids hate it, but they are nice enough to endure it every year. Thought I would share some of my favorite from the past years before I share 2013.
