A Sunday that will never be forgotten!

July 28, 2008 We had a very eventful day on July 20th. I didn't think that so much could happen in a short span of two hours. The morning started out fine as we were getting ready for church. We were running a little late for church and hurried out the door. On the way to church Hayden fell asleep. When we got there and got Hayden out of the car we realized that he pooped. So Richard and Tucker went in and sat down and I had to go change Hayden, which put me walking in late. The kids were doing good in church but during the first speaker Hayden made a funny burp so Richard picked him up. We were both just looking at him when it happened. All of the sudden Hayden puked all over Richard and all over the floor. It was the most puke I have ever seen. Richard was covered, Hayden was covered, and the floor was covered. I was thankfully not the one holding him and I was cracking up at what just happened. And for breakfast Hayden just had to drink a yogurt drink. So everything was curdled and discusting. It did not want to clean up with the few wipes that we had, so I ran off to the bathroom to get paper towels. I was laughing so hard the whole time that I was crying. I came back in with a bunch of paper towel to try and help with the mess. During the rest hymn Bernie went out and got this Bio Hazard Bodily Fluid Clean Up Kit. It came with a big red bag with warnings all over it. Richard had to use Gloves to use the stuff. By the time we finished it was 12:30 pm, Hayden threw up around 11:30 am. The other ward was already coming in for choir practice as we had the vacuum cleaner out. It was very funny. I had sharing time so I sent Richard and Hayden home, while Tucker and I stayed. As soon as they left with the car, I remembered that Tucker hadn't been to the bathroom since 10:00 am. So I knew that as soon as his class was over he would have to go. I went to the primary room and got sharing time ready, the whole time watching for Tucker's class so I could take him to the bathroom. Just before one, I heard Tucker crying and his teacher brought him out. She told me that he didn't say he had to go, and I looked down and saw that he was soaking wet. He had an accident. I think that he was really embarrassed because he didn't want to go into the primary room. Then the problem hit me, Richard left with the car and the diaper bag, in the diaper bag were Tucker's extra clothes. I had nothing to change him into. I tried calling Richard and he didn't answer. So I told Tucker to hold the phone and talk to Richard when he called back. When Richard called Tucker couldn't even talk. He just started crying again. Poor kid. Mallene let us take her car home. Thank goodness I have wonderful councilors who did my sharing time for me and took care of everything. They were wonderful. All of this in 2 hours!! I couldn't believe it. I wish that I had a picture of the mess that Hayden made because it was very funny!!

I have been slacking in the updating department!! Things have been crazy since Carmen came in to our lives. 2 months after she was born she was stung twice by a scorpion and had a bad reaction to it and she was in the hospital for a week. Our summer was nice, Richard had school so we didn't get to go and do anything. Tucker started Kindergarten and Turned 6 which I just can't believe. We had a really fun party at our house the Sat. after. I Started selling Mary Kay products in Oct. And I am so excited to get going with it. I have fallen in love with the product. Richard has 2 years of school left and he is loving it except when he has a ton of tests in one week.

I guess I should update!

So it has been a long time. We moved to Mesa in Aug. and so far I am loving it. Thank goodness for the little bit of family that we have close by. The kids really miss all their cousins but are adjusting well. They just get way excited when anyone comes to visit. Our ward is great, we got called to teach in Primary and I love that I get to teach with Richard. It is nice to get to see him all 3 hours of church since we don't see much of him during the school week. He is gone most of the day and gets home in time to eat and put kids to bed then he is usually studying after that. Thankfully he has found a good study group and they get together and study, it is nice cuz some nights the wives get together while the guys study. Things will get even crazier and more busy with the baby coming soon. I am excited to find out if we are adding a sister or a brother to our family. The kids are excited as well! Tucker goes to kindergarten in Aug which blows me away and makes me a little sad. I can't believe that he is old enough.

Update

Well we have been very busy the last few weeks. We met Shona and her family in California and spent 3 1/2 days at Disneyland. It was so much fun. Neither me or Tucker wanted to leave. Shona came back to Safford after they spent some time in San Diego. It has been so much fun having them close by. My kids love their cousins, they have enjoyed lots of sleepovers and swimming this summer. It has been lots of fun. I have enjoyed taking lots of days off of work to be with family. Tory and Mike and Dena all came down for the 4th and we worked on Bernie and Mallene's house. It is coming along, hopefully floors will get started this weekend. I can't wait for it to get done and they can move in. We have also been working on getting our house ready for renters. I am not sure how much I am going to like being a landlord. I am to trusting of people and we have already been taken advantage of by the people who were supposed to rent from us. Hopefully these next people work out better. We took a load of stuff up to our house in Mesa, I love it and I can't wait to move up there. It will be a big change but will be lots of fun. We got Richard's schedule, I am so excited for him to start school. Tucker went to sleep with gum in his mouth and woke up with it in his hair. He was very sad when I told him that he would have to get a really short hair cut. It doesn't look too bad. Richard's boss is begging him to stay and work as long as possible so we will be here till the 16th of Aug. Not sure where we will be living since our renters are moving in on the 6th of Aug. Life will be very interesting this next year with moving, Richard starting school, and a new baby on the way. We should be pretty busy.

It has been awhile

Well in about 3 months we will be moving to Mesa for Richard to start school. I am so excited to move onto the next phase of our life. I am really sad that we will be leaving Safford though. I love it here and the kids I think will be in a bit of shock when we leave most of our family. Thank goodness that we will have Mike and Dena, Kim and Adam, and Jacob and Maho. It will be losts of fun. We think that we have a place lined up to rent in Mesa, on Higley and Southern. I am sad to leave our house. We also have someone lined up to rent our house here so that is a big relief. Other than that we have been busy trying to get Bernie and Mallene's house finished before we move and try to get our house fixed up before we leave as well. I have been busy working at Casa Manana. It has been so much fun down there with all of the visitors for the temple open house. It really has been so much fun seeing all the people that have been coming for the temple. We are so excited to have the temple here and it will be nice to be able to go to the temple every week. Mother's Day was wonderful. Richard surprised me with a really pretty dress and my favorite cereal. He also made me a candy gram. It was so much fun. Today Tucker at breakfast today said, "Mom for Brother's Day, I want my favorite cereal in bed and a big card with candy on it" He was totally serious too! It was so funny! I was like there isn't a Brother's Day and he was like oh Just Mother's and Father's Days. So I think that we should start doing a Brother's and Sister's Day.

While Tory was here we went to Sierra Vista to see David and Ashley. The kids had a blast playing.

Hayden

So Hayden has been tongue tied since he was born. I couldn't ever find a doctor who would clip his tongue when he was a baby. I have always felt bad for him because he could never stick out his tongue. Well he went to his first dentist appointment and he had 3 small cavities. So we took him back on March 3rd to get them filled. He wasn't very excited, but Tucker went first and he was done in no time so Hayden sat down in the chair no problem. The dentist started on one tooth and then kinda got a funny look on his face and started looking and his tongue. I immediately knew what he was looking at and explained to them that he was tongue tied but no doctor would clip his tongue. I told him that I tried several times and was turned down saying it would bleed too much. He said that was crazy, and that he could do it with the laser and it wouldn't hardly bleed at all. He had Hayden stick his tongue out and was amazed at how tongue tied he was. He then called in his dad who is also a dentist, and had him look at. They were both pretty surprised. So he said he would finish up his fillings and then he would use the laser and clip it if I wanted. Heck yes I wanted him too. I am so mad at my self for not taking a before picture there at the dentist office and for not taking pictures during the procedure. I should have but I was to busy watching and it all happened so fast. They gave Hayden the laughing gas and it was pretty funny.

So this is the best before picture I could find. As you can see his tongue goes in at the center where it is tied. We always would make fun of his tongue and call it his Butt Tongue. I have to say I kinda miss that butt tongue.

Hayden After, I have a better one on my phone I just haven't downloaded it yet. But as you can see he no longer has the spot where it goes in. It looks like a normal tongue! Crazy right!
