Lovin’ These Lanterns

Image

Saw the cutest lanterns in the PC Beach Target last week. Can’t find the exact match on line, but they were similar to this one. They were in the patio section and there was a large variety of colors! I think they were only $14.99 Super Cute for decorating an entry way or patio!

Weekly Scripture

Several weeks ago I was I having a rough time and God brought this scripture to me. I have returned to it severals times since. Hope it will help others as well.

Psalms 52-55

This verse in particular kept coming back to me:

Psalm 55:18  He ransoms me unharmed from the battle waged against me, even though many oppose me.

It brought to mind that song from church that goes, “No weapon formed against me shall prosper. No one can ever take his promise from me.”

Hello Again!

It is so strange how God speaks to you out of the blue and moves in you to do something. That is actually my favorite way to hear from God, when I am least expecting it. I was cleaning out my e-mail the other day when I came across a notice that my blog traffic was down. “Of course it is down,” I thought to myself, “I have not blogged in over a year.” I felt God move in me that I should start a new blog, a place where Christian women could come and find inspiration and positive thoughts. I chuckled at first because there was over 1200 emails in my inbox. When would I have time to do this? Then I thought about the amount of time that I was spending on “The Facebook,” as my three-year old son refers to it, and realized that I had been neglecting my son quite a bit. So, if that was the point, why did God want me to do a blog? Why not just turn off the computer? I spent several days thinking this through. What was the allure of FB? Was there anything positive about it? Connecting with old friends was nice, keeping up with birthdays was too. On the other hand,  I was sick of trying to filter out ugly comments, listen to post that promote politics that go against God, and bite my tongue about things that I might want to discuss. Why did something that started out so nice end up leaving such a bad feeling? So, after more than a year of blogging, I have redesigned my page and am starting fresh. . .hoping that God will build this site into a community of Christian friends. Don’t misinterpret this to be an anti-FB message; I still intend to drop by a couple of times a week to visit, but I will be redirecting my energies to this forum and my family. Please feel free to visit and post as little or as often as your busy life allows, and know that this is going to be a work in progress.
