She's Here!
I had my baby girl on Easter Sunday after going into labour Good Friday. I ended up being rushed into an emergency C-section because the cord was being compressed after my water broke and the baby's heartbeat was dropping down into the 50's with each contraction. They had her out in 5 min it was unbelievably fast and very scary. She had to be resuscitated when she was out with chest compressions and oxygen. She didn't breath on her own for 4 min. I have never been so scared in my life. But she bounced back very quickly and only had to spend one night in the NICU. She is doing really well now and eats like a champ. She has a great natural latch and has made nursing a breeze for me. She weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 19.5 inches long.

39 Weeks Pregnant and I'm 30!
So today is my 30th birthday and I'm 39 weeks 1 day pregnant. I was quietly hoping she would be here before my birthday but deep down I know I'll most likely go overdue. I'm really getting uncomfortable now but I think that has more to do with my physically demanding job. Unfortunately not working is not an option for me but I think I'd go crazy sitting around at home anyways. My doc has been having me do weekly NST and BPP's so that keeps me somewhat satisfied.

37 Weeks
Man, the further along I get the worse I get at posting updates. All is well here. Still pregnant, still working full time. I'm uncomfortable at times but most of the time not too bad. The weather has been beautiful so I've been walking a lot. DH's cousin's fiance had her baby yesterday and she was only due 1 week before me so that kind of jolted me into reality a little bit.

35 weeks 3 days...more drama
So I've had a pretty easy pregnancy up to this point, not a lot of drama, until 34 weeks when I went into L/D and then at 35 weeks I fell down our hardwood stairs. It was a nasty fall and I was pretty sore and black and blue but baby is fine. I didn't hit my belly at all and just bashed up my back and arms and legs and head. It scared the crap out of me but luckily this little girl was very active right after it happened (as she always is) so she helped ease my mind.
Other than that everything is great. I still don't feel huge or uncomfortable and I don't feel like I just want to be done being pregnant. I'm still able to work my regular hours and do my job as usual which is great since I'm self employed and don't get any kind of maternity leave.
Here's a 35 week belly pic:

34 weeks and a trip to L/D
So I'm 34 weeks as of yesterday and I spent 4 hours last night in L/D being monitored. It all started Tuesday night. DH and I went to the movies and on the way from the truck to the theatre I noticed I was feeling pretty crampy, weird but totally normal I thought. While in the movie I had 5 or 6 strong contractions but they stopped before the end of the movie so once again I wasn't too worried. The next day around lunch time I noticed the cramping again. It felt like mild to moderate menstrual cramps. I continued to work through the afternoon but the cramping was going into my back and getting more intense so I called L/D to ask them what to do. They told me to go home and lay down for a couple of hours and see if it goes away and if not then come in. So I did that but the cramping just got more intense so we went in. They monitored me for 4 hours, the baby looked good and I was having contractions (some pretty strong ones) but nothing regular. They checked me for a bladder infection which I don't have. They didn't check my cervix (which I thought they might) and told me it was false labour and come back if my water breaks or my contractions get to be a few min apart. I was kind of surprised because I thought at this point they would want to stop labour from starting not just let it happen but I was so sick of being there (and hungry) after 4 hours that I just about ran out the door. I still have the cramping today along with sharp pain in what I can only describe as my cervix but I'm thinking maybe the baby has dropped a little and that's what's causing all the discomfort. Hopefully I won't have to go back to L/D for 4-6 weeks!

33 weeks
I'm still alive! I can't believe I haven't posted since 30 weeks. I've just been super busy. I had my baby shower at 32 weeks and it was wonderful. The only downer was that no one really shopped off the registry that I worked very hard at putting together. It seems everyone wants to buy cute little outfits when they know you're having a girl. We already had a ton of clothes from my sister and my mom and MIL have both been shopping up a storm. Luckily I was able to return a lot of the clothes and buy some essentials.
The baby's room is coming along nicely and we have all the furniture built. The window treatments are up but we need to install a new ceiling fan and hang up some of the wall decor. I'll take some pics once it's all done. I also promise to take a belly pic tonight and post it soon.
