Christmas Card Pictures

We have a tradition of sending out Christmas Cards every year with our picture on them. We overruled my mom and did not wear matching tops this year.

ImageBut this shot captures our attitudes toward these photo sessions. There is much more where this came from...

Architectural Christmas Gifts

Did you know that Lego has an Architecture series? All my architecture buddies better watch out for these for Christmas this year!

ImageAll 5922 pieces of the Taj Mahal can be yours for $300, or you can find other architectural products here. As much as you might want to buy one for me, please do not waste your money. I'd rather build one myself out of REAL modeling materials.

Cofer and the Chicken Strut

This morning my parents and I drove downtown to strut our stuff in the Chicken Strut, a fundraiser for the Neighborhood Christian Center.

ImageWe hung out with the NCC Chicken and friends from Neighborhood Church:

In other news, Coferface came to see me Thursday evening. It was so good for me to see her, even just for a few hours. I don't think we had seen each other since May! That's WAY too long!

I think she approves of the Cofer function on my camera....

Above Louisiana below the state of Missouri...

right of Oklahoma brotha left of Tennessee: ARKANSAS

It was good for my soul to be back in Arkansas this weekend. I'm also excited by the prospect that my sister might become a Razorback:)

We hung out Friday night at the Wesley chapel. Fun-filled times with friends and breaking-in the new Wesley Apples to Apples: ImageImage I was so glad to see Benedetti and TaraImage
and Sydlicious Image

The screen on my camera can flip to face the same direction as the lens, making self-photos perfect every time. I call it my Cofer function after her love of self-photos. And I had to get it approved by Little Cofer:)

ImageSaturday we browsed the Farmer's Market before enjoying Tim's Pizza. Not only was the pizza awesome like always, but there were some Fayetteville celebrities at the table next to ours: Arkansas basketball players Michael Sanchez and Rotnei Clarke.

Tail-gating and car-parking at Wesley before the game.Image

Martha looks good in her Razorback gear.ImageImageImage Our tickets were for seats 7 rows from the top of the stadium. Martha only fell a few rows when she leaned forward! We found some seats a little closer for the second half and the Hogs had a big win against Troy that made them bowl eligible... possibly for the Liberty Bowl which just happens to be in Memphis.

Here is proof Bump-Its should not exist:

Sunday night we had great Fellowship at the Samaritan House and eating ice cream at Braum's:ImageImageTerry, you can't take him anywhere!

QUACK QUACK

Despite the title of this post, none of our recipes at the Co-op Kitchen this month contained duck. We just had a little duck to keep us company...

We made some taco soup...
Image
Cooked some chicken for our Artichoke, Chicken Alfredo Sauce...
Image
Chopped garlic for the soup, sauce, and hummus...Image
Cracked up over some pumpkin chocolate chip muffins...
Image
Skated with paper towels on a PAM sprayed floor:)
Image
And packed up all of our orders...Image
We also had fun wearing aprons my parents have had since I was born.
Image
I spent a large part of my evening playing with this little animal...
Image

We wanted him to be a duck, but his sure does make a cute lion!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

The Vesta Home Show is the annual parade of homes put on by the Home Builders Association. I haven't been since I was in high school, so not since being trained as a designer. I now see the world through a different set of lenses.

ImageDanielle and I ventured to tour the homes last weekend. (Don't you love the creeper in the picture above?) My, did we find some interesting things... and some beatuiful. There were major differences in opinion between the people we overheard and our thoughts on the homes. Beauty is CERTAINLY in the eye of the beholder. Here are some of our favorites:

We were fans of this bench and those beams...

But skeptical of this ocean view and those random openings in the walls....
Image Image

Love the details of this light and backsplash....
Image Image

But disgusted by this trim color and the owl rug...
Image Image

Fond of this stone tile and built in shelves...

And the outdoor fireplaces and this painting...

Band Nerds

This weekend Megan and I may or may not have been complete band nerds. After going to watch our Alma Mater band (that my sister Martha is in) perform at the Bandmasters competition we either went to Club 152 downtown to celebrate Halloween or we went to Megan's and watched tapes from all of high school band shows. You can choose which option is true:)

ImageCelebrating 10 years of our friendship that did begin at band camp our freshman year.

This is a excerpt from our show our senior year: A New York State of Mind:

And this is from Saturday's show, which is Martha's SENIOR year: Monty Python

You know we are the coolest people you know...
