PHOENIX!!!!

So. I know that it's been awhile since I've updated our blog. We took a trip to Phoenix. It was great! 90 degrees...beautiful everyday. Ava got to meet her Aunt Sheryl, Uncle Pat, Aunt Jenny and Grandma & Grandpa Brutto for the first time. Needless to say, she loved them all. That girl is going to be a pilot....I just know it. She LOVES to fly. As long as she can look out the window. Dave and I were trying to nap and she was talking and talking, giving us updates on what was out the window. We went to Sedona one day...beautiful. Here are some pics.

Dear Ava....
Do you know how much I love you? That the very thought of you makes my heart smile? How will you ever know how much you have changed my life?
Getting you up every morning is one of the best parts of my day. The way you eat your oatmeal, the way you "huff" at me, the way you are always (well almost always) happy, the way you feed the dogs their food and play in their water, even tho you know darn good and well that you're not supposed to, the way you're always so glad to see me.....I love you Babygirl.
Things happen in life that make me sit back and take stock of all the blessings that I have. I am the luckiest, most blessed woman alive.
You make me want to be a better person.
Love,
your mom.

PRAYERS NEEDED....
This is from a family of Hope. They brought their boys, brothers 3.5 and 5, home from Ethiopia 5 weeks ago. This is a post from their website....
"Samuel was injured today in an accident involving the tractor. He was airlifted from the park behind our house to Childrens Hospital in Milwaukee. We need prayers. Currently he is still in surgery and will need many, many more. He lost one leg below the knee and the other they are trying to save the ankle. One arm is broken near the shoulder bu the elbow is more critical--open fractures with tissue damage/missing."
"His pelvis is also fractured on one side. His buttocks and back are injured and he needs a colostomy. If he continues to do well in surgery tonight that will be performed now. His vitals are good. He was awake up until surgery where we were able to kiss him."
The family has set up a Caring Bridge web site to keep everyone updated on the process. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/samuelphillipson

My first day back to work....
And it sucked!!! Not really...I'm actually one of those freaks that loves their job. Weird, I know. But, I do! I am blessed to be able to work for and with friends. It was really good to see everyone, but I missed my girl!! A LOT!!! I'll be working Wednesdays and Thursdays. Okay...this is what I did with her while I was gone at work....
Then, Dave was bad so I put him in Gus' kennel too. Just kidding! Aves stayed home with daddy today. Next week she'll go to grandma and grandpa's....Poor grands....they'll never know what hit them!!
