It has been to long!

I cannot believe I haven't blogged in so long. I have let so much pass by with out recording it, shame on me:-)

We had the princesses spend the night. We love having them over they are so fun. Elizabeth learned how to draw faces. Her mouths are a straight line. But she even gives them a nose:-)

Issy was working on a picture.

This is a picture of me and Issy. Issy has a big snowball and I have a little snow ball. Issy has a gingerbread girl and I have a peppermint stick. So Issy wanted the picture to say "Hey maybe we can share."
Image
Elizabeth wanted i-keem, so she sat with papa and ate it.

 Sweet little ice cream face!
Nathan got his wisdom teeth out on Wed. that was fun.

Image
He started laughing on the nitrous oxide, he couldn't stop, it was pretty funny. I would say you better laugh now because pretty soon it won't be funny!
Image
This is when it was all over. He was covered in blood, the doc was covered in blood. He had 2 impacted teeth. One had huge bags of infection on it when the dentist pulled it out. It was abscessed and we didn't know it. they let him take his teeth home.
Image
This was on the way home, he wasn't sure how he felt about it all.

He fell asleep and Ophie stayed with him. Life is good and we are happy!

Second trip to Gilmer......

I learned again of God's tender mercy's during this trip. I had a Relief Society Meeting I was in the middle of planning, and when I got home from my trip the very next day I had to teach a lesson in Relief Society. I had had the scripture "If ye are prepared ye shall not fear," on my brain for a couple of months. Then when I prayed about what I should teach I felt like that was it. Easter Sunday was all in all a good day, but it had been kind of a  sad and hard week before. I was stressing that night knowing that I had to be teaching a lesson soon and didn't have anything prepared. I went to my room, prayed and the entire lesson just came to me. It was simple and perfect. (side note- after I taught it, a girl told me she had gone to Women's Conference and gone to a preparedness class. She said that it was all the same stuff I had said quotes and scriptures too. It made me feel that I had listened to the spirit and done what Heavenly Father wanted me to do!)

Mom had just gotten home from the hospital when I got there. She was having a very sad rough time at first. We just cooked lot's of yummy foods and visited and watched movies. Mom wanted to help with the strawberries. This made her very happy! then we had Aunt sherry and Uncle Sam and some of there grand ones over for dinner. It was a lot of fun!Image
Mom was having a hard time and I was having a very hard time watching her struggle. I would call mike and cry to him. Well one night he called me and ask me to come down and let him in. He was so awesome he flew out and drove to Gilmer for the last few days of my trip. By them Mom was doing o much better. But we were all happy to see him there! this was Uncle Sams Birthday, and we didn't even know it!
Image
Jared and Vicki were a lot of fun to hang out with!

Mike brought a Cube down with him. It was kind of fun to drive around. It fit mom's wheelchair  perfectly.

On the way back home we met Mike family for breakfast. It was quick but we had a great visit. Nothing like a little bacon to liven up a gathering!

It was a very sad stressful trip that ended on a very happy upbeat note!

Birthdays....

The girls birthdays are 2 months apart.  The kids threw them a big fun joint Tangled Birthday Party. We got them Tangled Princess dresses and shoes for their party. Then they had a little sleep over the night before.Image
They had a little midnight snack, and they both slept with us. It was a fun night.

During my trip to Gilmer, I went out with my best friend and some of our high school friends. It's so fun to be with girls that you have known since you were 10! That's when we moved to Gilmer.

For moms birthday I decorated her shelves for her. WE just went to the store and find a few things she liked and pulled a theme together. she was thrilled. She had been sick for a year and her house was plain and dull from Dad's decorating or lack of!

I can't believe it's been so long since I have updated my blog. I just realized I skipped a trip to Gilmer, between New York and Vegas. We took Nathan to Vega during his spring break. It also happened to be his birthday. The 3 of us had a great time!

It was a happy memorable trip. I should have blogged about it because I'm skipping out on so many good times! We also had something bad happen. On Nathans birthday my mother had a heart attack. She had a very hard time but long story short. She stayed in the hospital that week and she was doing ok, so I opted not to leave Nathan alone in Vegas and stay with him.

A great trip.....

Well it was a long winter, and Mike offered to take me to New York with him. I thought a winter break sounded awesome. My church responsibilities had left me pretty busy for about 3 months solid. We were going to leave Monday and Sunday I had to take Nate to urgent care, I thought he might have strep throat. He had started feeling really bad on Saturday. I wanted him taken care of before we left. It was not strep, they said he should be fine by the next day. He wasn't so I made him a great breakfast and kissed him goodbye. We traveled all day, our flight got delayed by a few hours. We got to our hotel around 2AM. We had to wait on a man causing a little trouble to check in. The clerk apologised that we had to wait. I told him that was no big deal it was the 2 hour delay in Phoenix that was the pits. We hit a little shop in the hotel that had food. I got an orange and milk (it seemed like a fitting dinner, as I was reading Jane Eyre and she never had a lot of food to eat:-). Mike got a dinner, in that dinner was mashed potatoes with roasted red peppers, it was so good! Then we went to our room. We were pleased that our room was so large and nice. Later I found out we were on the "VIP floor. that desk clerk was so kind as to give us a nice room in the middle of the night:-)

Mike had to be up and ready to leave at 7:00AM, I slept! I got up and got showered and headed off to the subway to go to the Temple.Image

Image
Our hotel was connected to Grand Central Terminal. I got  on the subway in my grandma church dress, needless to say I stuck out. People are kind on the subway, but there are some very weird people  on it also. I got turned around and was heading south when I needed to be heading north. Long story and lot's of walking later I was on the right train. I sat down next to a lady in her late 50's. The car was crowded, people were standing everywhere. The woman next to me started ranting about the subway advertisements. How they were promised they would always be nice and artistic. Then she went off on a few other things, then she said something humorous and I couldn't help it and laughed.  We started talking and she was nice just very out going. She told me just which stop I needed to get to the Temple and off I went. I was frazzled and a bit tired I came up out of the subway tunnel and there was the Temple right in front of me. I stayed in there for hours. It was calm and peaceful!

Image
Then back on the streets and down to the subway. I got back to Grand Central and looked at all of the shops, it was such a beautiful old building. When I got to the hotel my key card would not work. Our floor was the only one that you HAD to use the card to get to. So i had to be escorted to the room. I had been there 5 minutes when Mike got back.
Image
We headed out for a nice dinner, in an Italian restaurant where we could hardly understand the owner with his thick accent.
Image
We did a little shopping on the way back tot he hotel.
Image
The next day I went with Mike to his first appointment. It was a place he loves and he wanted me to see it.
Image
I left from there and just started walking. It was a touch warmer on that day so it was very nice. I found a Disney Store in Time Square, they had every princess dress possible even Pocahontas and Jasmine. It was a fun store. I hit several more on the way back to the hotel.
Image
I passed Battery Park and several other fun places. I could see the Empire State building right by my hotel.
Image
There were ton's of extremely high heels. They just looked painful to me!:-)

Image
This is the front of Grand Central Terminal. ike I said it truly is a beautiful building.
Image
I grabbed some lunch in the market in the terminal. I love the little jug of milk, it's so cute. I was reading Jany eyre and was happy to get back to the hotel in the afternoon, so I could relax and read.

Image
That evening we walked back to Time Square had dinner and went to my first Broadway show. mike had already been to one.
Image

Image
We enjoyed the show and had a great evening.
Image
It was freezing cold on the walk home we stopped and I got hot chocolate!
Image
 Fun store windows....
Image
The next morning the weather had become very cold. I was off on my last day of adventure. I got all bundles up and went down to the concierge and told him "I want to go see the Eiffel Tower." He smiled and said "Then we need to get you on a plane to France!" I was so embarrassed. He laughed and said it happens all of the time!
Image
Ran out of pictures, I wonder if I can down load more here at the end. It worked! This is just one of the lights in Grand Central Terminal. They don't build building this way anymore!

Image
I walked down 5th Avenue, Madison Ave., many fun streets and saw lot's oc cool stuff. Especially in the diamond district!
Image
This is a room in the NY Public Library. It was an amazing building! The picture of the front is right below.
Image
Image
 Even the ceilings were gorgeous!

Image
I walked all around the city, to 30 Rock, back to Time Square,  and it was so cold it cut right through me. I ducked into another Starbucks to warm up and have another hot chocolate. It was obviously in a business area I was the only not suited person in there!
Image

Image
There were all kinds of shopped down the arms of Grand Central, clothes, make up, soaps, stationary, bakeries, drug stores, book stores, and a market area with ton's of foods. It was almost like a mall.
Image
That night Mike and ! walked to a local place and had a NY style pizza, it was very yummy!
Image

Image
The entire trip I was in contact with Nate who was still feeling very sick. I told him as soon as I got home we were going back tot he urgent care!  Mike and I are so luck to truly enjoy each others company. We enjoy our life together and our fun little get a ways!
