Into the Twisting Nether

Hey! I know, two posts in a row, what is the world coming to? But this is super important and exciting!

Most of you have probably at least heard of the Twisted Nether Blogcast. They have been around for … well, I don’t honestly know, but they have recorded 253 episodes, so quite awhile.

So the big news is, I am going to be on it! It will be broadcast LIVE tomorrow night, August 28, around 8:15pm BHQT (Blizzard HeadQuarters Time, aka Pacific Daylight Time). Yes, that’s after 11pm for me here in the East, but hey, it’s Friday night, right? I can nap the next day. So if you want to listen in and participate in the chat room and potentially even get to have me answer a question that you submitted, please join us!

Pathfinding

So, this past week I managed to finish up the rest of Draenor Pathfinder, ensuring that I get to fly Soon*. It really didn’t take that long, since I already had done Securing Draenor on Van. And honestly, I’m not tired of running around the jungle yet.

I still need half of the tomes of whatever the heck Khadgar has me collecting now, and I’ve only done about half of the treasure fleet missions to upgrade my shipyard again, but it’s going. I still haven’t sent another character to build a shipyard and go to Tanaan, but I have had some of them doing other things, like working on An Awfully Big Adventure and running old raids for mounts or pets that I’m still missing. I’m holding off on the leveling until they can fly, I think. Except maybe the rogue, he stealths his way through everything anyway, pickpocketing as he goes.

In other news, Petco has these neat Star Wars themed dog toys. I couldn’t resist bringing this one home to my boys.

Timewalking

So this past weekend was the Timewalking Dungeons bonus event – Burning Crusade edition. If you did 5 of these, you got a chest with an epic item from the Normal Hellfire Citadel raid. So of course I queued up and did a few.

Man I remember doing Shattered Halls on heroic back in BC on my first character. Remember this gauntlet? Ugh. Remember using CC? Do we even *have* CC anymore? It was no cakewalk then, but it is now, even with our stats scaled down to level 70. Still, it was great fun, and I definitely give Blizz thumbs up for this idea. Even better, after the next patch we will earn currency for doing them that we can use to purchase mounts .. and probably some other things but I didn’t pay much attention beyond mounts.

I also got a couple of useful item drops. If you’re raiding anything above LFR though you probably won’t, but for those of us ‘casuals’ who only dabble at that level then this is an alternative way to earn some stuff. Not to mention they are upgraded versions of some of the most awesome designs from BC.

Speaking of gear, warrior is super awesome fun once you have decent gear. I have been running around Tanaan killing whatever crosses my path. Other than the elite rares, which of course always have plenty of other people there to help, I can take down most anything, including the elites in the Ruins of Kra’nak and the war gronns in the Iron Front.

5 Down

So, with the Legion announcement, I figure it’s about time I finish leveling all of the classes. I already had a paladin, warrior, hunter, and two death knights done. So over the last week while the Faire was in town for carousel buffs, I finished off Karius the mage.

This leaves me with six to go. I have a rogue and a warlock at 95, and a monk at 92. The shaman and druid are both 90 and waiting in their garrisons. Oh. That’s only 5. Who am I forgetting? Duh, priest. He’s also 90 and in his garrison.
