Daddy with his girls

I realize as I look through the pictures that a lot of what I take pictures of happens when Rhett is at school. So I thought that I wouls put up some pictures of just Rhett and the girls. He is such a good daddy and the girls can't wait for him to come home everyday. They either go outside and wait or they wait at the window. He is always taking them on bike rides or to the park. I don't really have any pictures of that unfortunately. Sarah also loves staying after church with him on Sundays and "helping".

Playing together

Times like these makes me think that it really pays off to have kids close together in age. Sarah and Mary are getting better and better at playing together. It makes it so much fun for me as I watch their friendship develop. actually Sarah takes very good care of both her sisters. One time we were at a play group meeting at McDonald's and there were some kids there that were kind of bullying Mary. They hadn't physically touched her yet but I was keeping a close eye on them because I knew it was going to happen. Well, the moment had come and I saw that this kid was charging and about to get Mary. Then out of nowhere Sarah tackles him!! He was a bigger, older kid and she took him out! Then she puts her arm around him and sternly adds, "You be nice to my sister, you say your sorry". Yes it was a very proud moment for me.

In this last picture they had been outside painting on paper I might add and they came in to show me how they had put on makeup and painted their nails. They looked like goth children when we went out later cause I couldn't quite get the paint off so their lips and nails were dark blue. hahaha

Easter in Des Moines

Sarah and Mary had an Easter party with some of their friends, Bailey, Scarlet, and Emma. First they decorated eggs then and worked on a craft and then they ate their lunch while the Easter bunny came. Sarah and Mary keep looking for the Easter Bunny and any time they see one they try to get it to come in the house to leave them more surprises :)

Christmas Pageant

My Mom made these wonderful costumes for us. It was neat cause she wrote a nice note about the things she learned as she was sewing the costume for Mary and Joseph and the Wise Men. How wonderful it must have been for the shepherds who had nothing to hear the angels sing and welcome the King of all. Sarah got really into it and just spoke from her heart during the pageant. Sarah wanted to be the angel and Mary was Mary of course :) I was a wise man and Rhett was Joseph and a shepherd. Kate played the baby Jesus.

Kate is growing up too FAST

It is sad how fast Kate has grown out of her baby stage. She really is a perfect baby!! She is always so happy and when she looks at you you feel like she is looking into your heart

Teach them while they are Young

In my family we love to have our hair played with!! So I decided to train Sarah while she is young :) She got a little rough with the brush on occasion but for the most part I was in HEAVEN
