Its a GIRL!

In August, I went in for my 20 week ultrasound. I was so nervous after everything that happened with George. I was convinced we wouldn't find a healthy baby. I was an emotional wreck all day. We went in and the first things the ultrasound tech looked for were the markers for Trisomy 18 that we saw on George. Not one. She kept looking and checking and after a long time, I was convinced our baby was healthy. And then, she told us it was a GIRL!! We were so surprised and excited! We went and picked up pink balloons on the way home, to surprise Brynlie who was at my mom's house.

We went to pick her up and when she saw the pink balloons, she started jumping up and down!Image

After finding out we had a healthy baby girl coming, we had to go out to George's grave for a little visit. Brynlie took him one of her pink balloons.

My first 5k

Before I found out I was pregnant with Alice, I started running for the first time in my life. And I ended up loving it!! In March, I ran my first 5k with some friends in my ward. We ran the Rex Lee Run at BYU and, wouldn't ya know, it ended up snowing tons that morning. But we still did it and it ended up being so fun!Image

The Happiest Place On Earth

In May, the Bird's had our family reunion in California. We stayed in Newport Beach and we had two beach days and two Disneyland days. It was Bryn's first time at Disneyland and it was magical! I think her favorite part was meeting several princesses, including Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel.

Fall Fun

Fall is definitely my favorite season. I love the crisp air in the mornings and evenings, the colors of the changing leaves, the smells in the air... This fall was filled with lots of fun activities!

For our ward halloween party I had to dress up...

And Brynlie was Tinkerbell!!

We decided to paint pumpkins...lots of fun and less messy!

Near our house there is a pumpkin patch with a cute petting zoo, hay rides, corn mazes, and corn pits to play in...and it's all free! We went quite a few times

Every year at Halloween time, Gardiner Village decorates with witches...we ventured up with Grandma for a day of shopping and witch-seeing. It ended up being a freezing cold day...but we still had fun!Image
