peek a boo.....

Image

This afternoon, I heard on the monitor that Sallie was awake from her nap. I let her play around in her crib for a little while before I went in to get her. I always like to sneak in on her so I can peek and see what she is doing. This time I tip toed in and just started laughing hysterically. Sallie was pulling down the bumper pad and peeking through the crib at me.....she has really developed this fun personality and keeps us smiling all of the time. She is scooting all over and is really close to crawling. I have to keep my eye on her at ALL times...I guess now the fun begins. I am so thankful for this precious little bundle of love.

6 Month Checkup

Wow!! I really cannot believe Sallie is already 6 months old. She is getting so big....17lbs. 3oz to be exact and is so much fun. We saw Dr. Denton last Tuesday and she said Sallie was doing great (which is always good to hear) She had so much fun playing with the paper on the examination table and looking in the mirror ( I think she has figured out that it is her ) She loves to eat, we really haven't found anything she doesn't like...she has tried veggies, rice cereal, oatmeal, and just today tried some yogurt, yum yum! She sits up all by herself and now eats from her high chair....what a big girl! The other day she moved about 8 steps away from where I put her down, so I think crawling is coming pretty soon.

Dedication

We had so many people here last weekend for Sallie's Dedication at our Church.....Church at Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. Rich's mom, Denice, Rich's two sisters Dana (and her family), Jennifer (and her family) my brother's wife Annie and their two children and my mom were all here to celebrate this joyous occasion. We were so excited to have everyone in town for the weekend. They arrived Saturday and we all met at the Embassy Suites for a little lunch, swimming, visiting, and then dinner. (The Hinz family and the Shanks family stayed at the ES...I didn't want you to think we just snuck in for a little fun) The next morning we all met at church (where we shot this group picture). It was so neat looking out and seeing our family that means so much to us. We are truly blessed with a loving and supportive family that we also call friends.
