What a weekend!

We had such a fun weekend! We headed to LR for a good friends wedding! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Green! Sallie was the flower girl!! She really did not have a tough job. (she got to wear a cute little tutu and take a few pictures) So, I give her an A++ ! But, it was her very first wedding to be a part of and it was pretty special. We had the rehearsal dinner Friday night and my parents kept Sallie overnight. Rich and I had a fun couples night out together.....this was our first time leaving Sallie and we missed her dearly but knew she was being treated like a princess.

My parents met us in Little Rock on Saturday to spend some time together. We spent Saturday night(yep all five of us) at the Peabody hotel downtown LR. It was Riverfeast so it was a bit crazy, but we ate lunch downtown and walked around a little.....we didn't have a lot of time because we had to get our little flower baby to the church for pictures. After the wedding, gg and pap picked up Sallie and went a spoiled her some more! Rich and I ended up having a fun, very fun night with friends. Complete with dancing to 80's hits played by the band at the reception. And yes, the Morris', the James', the Kane's, and the McDaniel's shut the place down.

Rich flew out for a few weeks Sunday morning so after I took him to the airport my parents, myself and Sallie went on a little tourist adventure....in the rain. After watching the ducks parade in at the Peabody, we ate lunch at Cafe 42 which is inside the Clinton Library. What a neat place! The lunch was amazing and we were able to tour the library and learn so much about former President Clinton. Sallie and I headed back home and now we are having a relaxing Memorial Day...remembering those that are dear to us that have passed away and thinking of my brother, the sacrifices he makes, and all of the other men in women that protect our country, thank you.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend.

we didn't plan it, but Sallie and her dad matched perfectly...probably because mom was so busy packing for her little one, she not only forgot Rich's dress shirt and tie (he wore his short sleeved shirt from the night before with a tie we found on sale), but she also forgot her dress and shoes.....surely, I will get better at packing for three.

ImageWhat a special day....I honostly don't think I ever new how much I would love being a mom. So much that I really don't think I deserve a day like this. It really makes me realize how blessed I am....a beautiful family with a daughter that makes me smile more than anything, parents that love me unconditionally, a husband that is seriously the sweetest man I have ever met, and brothers, sisters, mom and dad in laws that I could not not have hand picked any better. Wow, what an incredible life. On this Mother's Day, I am even more grateful for my mom....she always puts me before herself and I now know why she worries about me so much. Thanks mom and thanks Denice for making such a difference in my life.

We spent the weekend in Kansas City....just a fun get a way, a little shopping, lots of eating, some walking, and some golf. We stayed right on the plaza and Rich's mom drove up on Sunday after noon to watch Sallie on Monday while I caddied for Rich. I must say, I thought I would be a little rusty, but I must have done okay, b/c he went and won the whole thing, woohoo! The weather was beautiful and it was a perfect Mother's Day....complete with McDonald's in bed (what more could you ask for). Sallie and I got to do a little mom/daughter shopping on the Plaza and found some really cute things.

Thanks Rich for making the weekend so special.
