We normally travel on the 4th, but this year decided to stay home, which was really nice.....we had so much fun with friends and just being together as a family. It started out with a bang (well, and a few tears) on Friday night. We headed out to "the country" for a cookout at the Mcdaniels home. We always have so much fun there, I mean with a pool, a trampoline, a huge swing set, a tractor, a barn, and cows....what more could you ask for? Heather cooked up the most delicious meal. Below are a few pictures of our night, the fireworks and the fun!
tj, rich and some of the kids playing in the barn that is unlike any barn i have ever seen.....ping pong, 4 wheelers, basketball....so fun!
The weekend of the 4th also allowed us to spend time with our great friends, the Dykes.....here are the girls swimming at the pool. I think we were there all of 5 minutes and it was already time for a snack. Kennedy and Sallie play so well together. Kennedy is such a sweetie so hopefully she is rubbing off on Sallie.....not that Sallie isn't sweet but we really look up to Kennedy!
On Sunday we woke up, played a little and then headed to church. We planned on going to see fireworks with the Dykes family but after a hard days work in the yard building a fence, we opted for pj's and a drive around town eating smores! Here is a picture of Sallie and her daddy before Church......Sallie is wearing the cutest dress that Mimi picked out for her, thanks Mimi!
