November, 2011

The last three weeks have been everything a Mother/Grandmother could ask for.  We spent almost a week in Seattle with our 16 year old granddaughter and from there, I flew to Minnesota for 2 weeks.  There is really nothing more special than spending time with dear grandchildren.  Justin was out of town for the most of those 2 weeks, so I spent my time helping Kathy with the children and doing just general help wherever I could.  After 2 weeks though, I realize there is a reason that God planned that we should have our children while we are young!  It is exhausting work being a mother to young ones!  Justin and Dave did some planning behind Kathy's and my back!  Dave flew in and surprised us for the last week.  What a surprise.  Kathy and I were upstairs doing something at about 10:30 PM when there was a knock on the backdoor.  It really scared us so we went down together and I suggested that she get the larger of their 2 dogs to go with us; but guess what the "big" dog had allowed Dave to come in and was standing beside him!

During my time there, we had to say Goodbye to a very favorite kitty.  She had contacted feline leukemia and there is nothing that you can do for them once they have it, and because it is contagious, they have another cat that they didn't want to get it, so unfortunately, there was only one thing to do for the poor thing.  To Furby, with much love~~~

I want you to see the beautiful roses that we inherited!  Enjoy them this year, because I am such a poor gardener that who knows what they will be like next year.  The ones that we took the pictures of today had rain drops on them and were just so fresh and pretty!

Well it is getting to look a little bit like home!  Still too many boxes setting around and still lots of things to do, but..........the craft room is getting into shape! "smile"!  Took more pictures of the plants around the house today.  I will be glad when we can get them trimmed and a little more uniform in appearance.
This first picture doesn't do the color any justice as it is really a pretty orange.

This one is Dave's dream come true!  He has always loved the holly trees and now he finally has his own.

Sunday, May 15th

Well the past 2 weeks have been rather busy!  We tried to move to a new house that we bought without anyone knowing we were doing it; then we were going to have an open house and invite our friends.  Well it happens that we bought a manufactured home in a park and once a month the park puts out a bulletin and in this bulletin it welcomed us to the park.  Very nice of them, but some of our good friends live in the park!  Guess what?  The surprise was out!  Oh well!  But that worked out okay, because it will be a year before I am recuperated enough to put together an open house!  Ha!

Here is the new house!  We are enjoying all of the room and will enjoy it even more when we get rid of all of the boxes!  I didn't know that I still had SO MUCH stuff or better yet, JUNK!!!

The flowers have started blooming already for us.  They need some tender loving care, but I am not ready to give it to them yet!

Can anyone tell me what this little lavender flower is?  It looks like it will be really loaded with blooms shortly! I got my answer!  This flower is an Evergreen Azalea!
Have a good Sunday!
