In January, the twins' preschool did a fairy tale unit. For the culminating activity, they performed a little play of "The Little Red." Miss Brendy was the narrator and the kids were the animals. Reagan really took a liking to this story and knew exactly what to do when she was supposed to. I think she is the darn cutest little kitty cat, ever!

Class Presentations
Caroline had a biography project for school. She chose to do Cleopatra. We went to watch her presentation and she did a great job. She LOVES an audience!

December Catch-up Part II
Here are the pictures from the December catch-up!
Caroline is taking Jazz this year. Her class did a fun dance to "Up on the Housetop."

The kiddos are waiting at the top of the stairs in their new jammies to open up presents.
Reagan is showing off her Baby Pinkie-Pie doll.
Caroline loves the American Girl Doll books. This year she recieved the Kaya set and the Josefina set.
Luke LOVES Legos! He plays with these all the time!
Caroline has been wanting an Easy Bake Oven for a couple of years now. The first thing we made was pretzels. They didn't taste fabulous, but we had fun making them.
Reagan very rarily asks for something specific. This year she saw a commercial for a Dora the Explorer kitchen and she saw it in the hundreds of catalogs that came to our house. She kept telling me she wanted Santa to bring it. When she came down and saw it, she literally jumped up and down for joy! It was so priceless and so worth it!
Luke has been wanting a race car track for awhile now, and finally Santa got the memo! He was thrilled. This set is a riot because you shake the cars to get them to race around the track and they go around really fast. Let's just say we have all enjoyed this toy!
We went to see the lights on Temple Square the week between Christmas and New Year's. The girls would actually hold still for pictures. Luke wanted nothing to do with the camera.
December Catch-up Part I
December was a great month! Caroline had a Christmas dance recital and a choir concert. Unfortunately, my camera went on the fritz at the choir concert and none of the pictures turned out. We stayed in town for the holidays and had a low key Christmas which was perfect. The kids had a ball and got more toys than should be allowed in one house hold.
We did our Salt Lake Traditions as I call them since there are only certain things you can do here during the holidays. Caroline and I went to see Forgotten Carols with my dear friend Melissa. This is our second year in a row to go together. Caroline starts looking forward to the show about 2 months before we even get to go. We go to dinner before and then go see the show. We had great tickets this year and I loved watching Caroline giggle and smile through out the show. I love this tradition.
Gardiner Village always puts elves on display for Christmas. We went again this year, but we were disappointed that there were fewer elves this year than last. My camera was still on the fritz so my pictures didn't turn out yet again!!
Our all time favorite tradition is seeing the lights on Temple Square. I realize how blessed we are to live in Salt Lake and see these every year. I know there are many members of the church who only dream of getting to see the lights. I am always amazed at how quickly you can feel the Spirit when you walk through the gates. We had fun and I loved watching the kids enjoy all the wonderment of the Christmas lights.
I will post some of the pics that actually turned out in the next post!

November 2011 Catch-up
November was a fun month for us. Caroline was off track for 3 weeks and we went to Denver for Thanksgiving to be with my parents and my grandma. These photos are our November in a nut shell!
We spent a morning at Great-Grandpa Don's playing in the leaves. I am not kidding when I say there were probably a million leaves in his back-yard. It was a blast! I love this picture of the twins having a leaf fight.
Reagan knew exactly what to do in the large piles of leaves.
Grandpa's leaf blower helped make the huge piles of leaves for the twins.

One of our favorite things to do with my dad is go on hikes. We went on a hike and this was the first one we had taken the twins on with Pa.
Here is everybody at the beginning of the hike.

Here are Caroline and Reagan at the top! They are pretending to be queens of the mountain!
Here is the part of the view from the top.
Here are my cute parents at the top!
Us girls at the top! Just a side note: The twins were tired on the way down, so Pa came up with the idea of "power juice." They would get sips of "power juice" (water) from his Camel Backpack
to give them energy to finish the hike. They loved this idea! They would power up and then walk a ways and then need to power up again. This is how they got back to the car. It was so cute!
Rich and the girls playing in grammy and pa's cul-de-sac. I love this picture. Rich and Reagan have the same expression on their faces. You gotta love Rich on the Barbie scooter!

Happy Halloween!
This year I had wanted to dress the kiddos in theme related costumes, but the twins are really express their opinions about what they want to be and what they want to wear. Because of this, they all chose their own costumes. Between school parties, the ward trunk-or-treat, and neighborhood trick-or-treating, they made out like bandits this year in the candy department. They loved every minute of it!
This is one of my favorite pictures of Luke EVER! It is so him! The best part of his costume are these fake muscles. He saw this online and had to have it! Apparently it is a Power Ranger Samurai costume. He has never seen the show, but was quite impressed with it!

My Sweet Reagan
Since she goes to preschool 4 mornings a week, I get time with Luke every Monday and Wednesday mornings. Caroline and I get time together too when we run errands or do homework, etc. But I was feeling bad that I don't get much one-on-one time with Reagan. On Saturday, I took her to the grocery store with me. When I told her it was just us two, she kept asking me, "Lukey stay here? I get to go with you?" Smith's has little grocery carts for little ones to push and she kept telling everyone hi and smiling at them. As we were driving away, she told me, "That was fun! Let's do that again!" Those words have been running through my mind since then. It's the little things that make her happy and I will definitely be taking her with me again! Who knew that a little trip to the grocery store would be so special?
The other day I was planting 90 tulip bulbs and found a worm. I showed the twins the worm as it crawled around on my trowel. Luke decided to call him "Wormy." Reagan wanted to call him "Squiddy." She told him," Don't worry Squiddy! You will find your friends soon." She was genuinely concerned that the worm wouldn't find his friends and family again. I assured her that I put him right back where I found him. She has a soft spot in her heart for all living creatures. I think she is absolutely adorable, but then again I am her mother!

The Witches
Every Halloween that we have lived in Utah, I have taken my kiddos to Gardiner Village to see the witches. My kids look forward to this as much as the pumpkin patch. We went after school one day and had a wonderful time. We always stop at the candy shop there, Sweet Afton's for a goody. Last year, Luke was scared of the witches, but this year he warmed right up to them! Once again, trying to snap a picture with all 3 of them looking at the camera was almost impossible with everything that was going on.
