Happy Holidays, 2009. We had ALL of the 8 grandchildren here for Christmas. We had a wonderful time. These photos are from the nativity performance that the kids put on.

Our British Sister, Gillian Grant

These are photos of our dear Gillie Grant, one of Benjamin's converts from Wales. She traveled to the states to receive her endowments at the Jordon River Temple in Novemeber. You can find her testimony on lds.org. She is a treasured friend-- and we enjoyed leg of lamb and other English delights when she spent a week with us.

Gabriel Noah King

Here is the precious little Gabriel, born September 3rd of this year. Ben and I traveled down to St. George and spent a glorious week with our grandchildren. The night before Gabriel was born, Ben helped Seth give Jessica a blessing (as she was a week overdue). In the blessing, Ben reminded Jessica that she has always been a strong girl through adversity; he mentioned her club feet as an infant and all the surgeries she went through. Immediately I felt an impression that Jessica's baby would have the same problem. The next morning, when Seth called from the hospital and said that their little boy was born with one severely club foot, I was thankful for the premonition. I could offer words of encouragement, instead of tearfully breaking down at the thought of the long road of casts, braces, and surgeries ahead. Jessica and Seth are amazingly strong through it all, and Gabriel is progressing beautifully.

Beautiful Lydia Natalie King

We just love our precious oldest grandchild, Lydia. She will be baptised this April, and as Grandparents, we can tell that she is preparing in a sweet way. She is a great help to her mother, Jessica, who recently delivered a beautiful baby boy.

Oscar Juan Whiting, my dear father.

This is a photo of my dear old Dad after the Thanksgiving festivities in 2008. He is holding Thomas Doman's little girl, and smiling for the first time that day. Dad was really struggling to hang on. He was diagnosed with cancer of the blood; he was undergoing blood transfusions several times a week. Sweet Mom stood by his side through it all. He died on the morning of December 11, 2008 - after my mother prayed for his release from this world. He fought a good fight: major heart surgeries, knee replacements, ruptured appendix, and then the leukemia. All of his children spoke at the funeral and we all found comfort in remembering the father who always had time for us.
