Family Photo Fun

Some highlights from our Family Photos last weekend... Here is the quick run down of the event. I thought it would be a great idea to take the photos before the rehearsal dinner of our friend's wedding (Eric and Sheri!) We would already be dressed up for the event. I obviously didn't think about the fact that as the Best Man, Ron would be busy all day and I am extremely out of practice as a single mom. On top of this, Addie would not take a nap. This was going to be interesting.

The plan was to meet Melinda at Brix before the dinner and start with pictures of the kids, Ron would meet with us for some quick shots after he finished with the rehearsal. Addie lasted for about 5 minutes with her headband, smiles, etc and then she was completely over it. Ethan lasted about 15 minutes before he was making silly faces. I lasted maybe 20 minutes before I gave up. Lucky for us, Melinda didn't give up. She took beautiful candid photos and even managed to get a "Christmas Card" shot of the entire family! Birthday Month

July is birthday month in our house. This year Addie turned 2 and Ethan turned 7. We were super lucky to have Auntie Brittani, Uncle Rich, Cara and Ryann in town to celebrate with us.

Ethan had a surprise party at Grandma's house with a jumpy house and a special cars 2 cake made by Grandma. Here he is with Ryann and Addie helping him blow out the candles. We also had Auntie Devyn and Auntie Erin in town surrounding the festivities (Uncle Cory turned the big 30).

We celebrated Addie's birthday at Cousin Dean's house. Addie new exactly what to do with her presents this year.

Sundays with Grandma

2 months since my last post ~ how does time go by so fast?

Ethan often spends Sundays with Grandma (and Grandpa)... I'm usually sleeping because I worked the night before and Ron spends the day hanging out with Addie (and watching sports). I know Ethan loves his special time with G & G. He usually comes home in one of Uncle Zach's shirts from when Z-Wag was little & he always comes home with a smile on his face.


Addie is so much fun ~ she is learning new words every day, loves to be outside and pick flowers for Mommy, enjoys watching The Jungle Book movie while driving around in Daddy's truck, loves to color in her high chair (and all over the floor in marker the other day - so happy they were washable)... Look at this cute face!

Ron's Photos...

Ron got a new phone last month and he must have uploaded all of his pictures from his old phone because I came across a bunch of new pics on our computer today. I tend to take photos when the kids are dressed up, hair done or doing something special. Ron tends to take more everyday photos and they were fun to look at. Here are a few highlights...

Disneyland

We went on our first family vacation to Disneyland the first week of December and had an amazing time ~ I have been trying to get Ron to go to Disneyland on a family vacation for a long time and he has not been very interested.

Everyone had a good time (although I wouldn't it call it a "relaxing" vacation)... as we were driving home, Ron even asked if we could go again next year ~ success!

Favorite Holiday Photos

Here are some 2010 Christmas favorites... this year was especially wonderful because I was off work for Christmas and Ethan was home with us!

Ethan wrote several lists for Santa this year... this list included a wii, xbox 360 and playstation... however on Christmas Day he did say his favorite present was his new "skinny jeans", Tony Hawk shirt and Vans... my stylish little guy. Ethan was not sure if he was on the nice list the night before Christmas, he said "I better make cookies for Santa just in case..."
