Finally...Snow!!

We are so excited that it has finally snowed! I bundled Noah up and took him out in his stoller to hang out while we shoveled the walks...Clair had another idea and it was pretty hilarious! Noah's first sledding experience was a success. Clair is loving every minute with his little buddy now that he can interact and let us know what he likes and dislikes. It's so much fun watching them together. Noah loves his Daddy so much!

Noah is 8 months old!!

Wow, my little man turned 8 months old yesterday! I can't believe it. The last 8 months has literally flown by. I am so lucky to have such a happy, sweet, adorable baby. I love this little boy more than words can express and i'm so grateful and honored to be his Mom.
Here are a few of his latest accomplishments:
-He is 21 pounds
-He has 2 teeth
-He made the Guiness Book of World Records for cutest, biggest cheeks (just teasing)!
-He can Army crawl with the best of them(he is sooo close to crawling)
-He has learned to stand up in his crib (picture shown)
-He loves Lofthouse Sugar Cookies (he likes the texture more than the taste)
-His new favorite toys are electrical cords for lamps, tv's etc.
-He waves bye-bye (rarely on demand!)
-He keeps me laughing all day long!

Image Thanks Dalton for letting Noah wear your cowboy hat!

ImageHe is into, under and around everything!

ImageHis new trick...standing in his crib! Yikes, i'm not ready for this.

I love you Noah!

Grandma Dot

My sweet Grandma passed away on December 1. She was 85 years old. She has been sick for a long time so it is very much a bitter-sweet passing. I'm so grateful that she is free from the pains she has lived with for so long. I'm also very grateful to know that she is once again with my Grandpa who passed away 15 years ago, but losing someone you love is always hard. My Grandma was a wonderful woman who always set a perfect example of love, charity, compassion and selflessness to all who knew her. I'm going to miss her very much but I am so grateful that I will be with her again one day. It seems that in times of our loved ones passing we reflect on our own lives and on those of our loved ones and we have the ability to become a little closer and show a little more love and gratitude for all that they do for us. I'm truly grateful for my own family and for all that they do for me.

Isn't she beautiful.

I love you Grandma and will miss you dearly.

Our little dragon...

I'm not much of a Halloween fanatic, but this year was alot of fun! Noah was such a good sport letting me tote him around showing him off to everyone for 2 days before Halloween even arrived! He looked so darn cute in his little dragon costume I just couldn't resist!

Scrapbook Baby Kit...

I have always known that I want to have some kind of photo album for Noah's pictures to go in so he can look at them when he's older, but i'm not into scrapbooking so I haven't been sure of what to do and up until this point i haven't done anything! Yeah i know, shame on me he's 6 months old! Anywho, Michelle, who is always looking out for my best interest bless her heart, emailed me a link to a website that was selling a scrapbook Baby Kit. I watched the video clips and got really excited because it's pretty fool-proof for those of us who don't have any idea of how to scrapbook or where to even begin and it comes with tons of great heavy paper and embelishments and the pages are even labeled in individual bags! The kit has enough product in it to do a monthly layout for 12 months plus 8 layouts leading-up to when Noah is born (being showered, expecting you, etc). Just a little "plug" because i'm so thrilled with it, the website is http://www.beckyhiggins.com/ and just go to her blog. Right now she is starting to sell her Christmas Card collection which is really cute, but for a reasonable amount of money you get alot of extras and it's good quality stuff. This may be old news for those avid scrapbookers, but for me it's new and pretty exciting! Just wanted to share for those of you who are in the same boat as i was, but i now have the "bug" and can't wait to get going!

Wheeler Farm

ImageOh, pigs are just so cute!

Image Image
Who cares about the pumpkins...give me the straw!

Oh, he's just so stinkin cute!

Spending my days home with Noah are great, but Monday's are typically pretty slow around our house. Slow meaning, it's Monday so we're slow to get out of our jammies and get going. But yesturday was fantastic! Noah and I went to Wheeler Farm. I hadn't been in years and I have been feeling a sense of urgency to try and do things outdoors knowing bad weather is on it's way. Wheeler Farm is great...I don't really think Noah cared all that much that we were there, but he didn't complain about being in his "BOB" and my taking his pictures with animals that he doesn't quite know what to think about yet. Everything at Wheeler Farm was great until we came to a HUGE duck pond that was over-filled with hundreds of geese making this horrible squaking noise chasing after kids because they wern't feeding them their bread fast enough.
Geese...they would have made a great goose dinner!

P.S Is there anyway to get my message to come before my pictures? The pig is cute and all, but i would like to introduce him first!

Shout out to my Boys!!

Being the only female in the house my ideas are often veto-ed (if we include Oscar, our dog, it's three to one). But this idea isn't going to be veto-ed because I'm now the blogger of the family. I just wanted to give a little shout-out to my boys to let them know how much they add to my life...they are my life and without them in it, I wouldn't have the rich, rewarding sense of security, love and accomplishment that I do now. Thanks for keeping me on my toes and continually reminding me of how blessed I am.

To blog or not to blog...

Well, here we are...after much debate, i've decided to create a blog about our family. It has taken much urging and pursuasion, but today I am feeling a bit crafty and decided to just go for it. So please, forgive the mis-spellings, bad grammer and lack of creativity...but hopefully with a little practive i'll be an old pro before long!
