There is no doubt about it, I hate the snow. I hate the cold, I hate driving in the snow, and I definately hate ice (on the ground, not in my cup).
This week I experienced all of these hates. Tuesday it snowed and snowed and snowed and the wind blew like crazy. And on Wednesday it snowed even more than Tuesday until we got 16 inches of snow on Wednesday and the wind blew around 45-50 mph. Needless to say, we could barely open our door, my roomie's jeep wouldn't make it out of the driveway, the snow drift was as high as 3/4's of our garage, the snow thrower couldn't handle the snow, and the plows couldn't keep up with the snow. Everything was closed and travel was not advised.
But the love part of this week came into play when school was cancelled on Tuesday and Wednesday and didn't start until 10 on Thursday. Which is a rare occasion for our school since their theory on snow days is that they are training us to be health professionals and that we need to be prepared to have to go into the hospital on days when weather is bad. It has been by far the easiest week. Just cozy up inside with lots of clothes and a blanket and hot chocolate and look at the snow outside. And I was able to catch up on school work, instead of going to clinicals.
So, at this moment in time, I love the snow....
