Goodnight

I know I said I would be better about posting...life has just been busy and the hardest thing for me to do right now is sit down...let alone sit down at a computer for more than a quick 5 minutes.  But I had to put this one up...this is my goodnight view of John almost every night with sweet Orion watching over him while he reads.  Orion always stays with him until he's asleep and then comes and joins Mark and I for the night.

We're Back...lots of catching up to do!

Our family ventured to Main Street Bethlehem in Burnet this last weekend and had a great time!  Here Jacob is listening to one of the men in the synagogue teach a young disciple.  It's a wonderful family outing!  Merry Christmas!

Kitchen Helper

Hannah doesn't like to be far away so we made an island in the kitchen for her. Cutest kitchen island I've seen!!!

Jacob tried his first jiu jitsu class tonight and LOVED it! Proud of that little guy for stepping out of his comfort zone. John was a great helper for him too.

Life is busy but good

I haven't had much time to update the blog, but we are doing well. Hopefully an update soon!!

Hannah-burger

Next week Ms. Hannah-burger (as Ryan has nicknamed her) will be 1 month old. I can't believe how fast the month has gone by. It's been a busy one with the new baby, the usual routine and Mark's back surgery, but we've been very blessed. I think we have some of the greatest friends and family in the world and not sure that we would have survived the last few weeks without all the help, love and support we've gotten. Today, I had some down time (thanks to my mom) so I pulled out the camera and with my assistant and a super cute little model, we had some fun! Such a cute little girl!! I do have to admit that it is a little fun being girly...don't get many opportunities in this house to be girly girly!!

Waiting game

Well, it's been a few months now (since before Halloween)...Mark has a herniated disc in his back and so this is the view we see most often right now if he's not up and about. Ryan has taken to doing the floor exercises too and is often seen stretching next to Mark or "helping" him stretch by jumping on him and wrestling with Mark while he stretches. Mark will be headed to surgery in the next few weeks sometime and we are hoping that it will do the trick since nothing else has provided any relief.

Happy Birthday Ryan!!

Our little hulk turned 3 already!! It's hard to believe that he's already the big 3! He has been a joy to have these last 3 years. She has so much personality in that little body. He loves to smile and has several different kinds of smiles depending on the occasion. He loves to make his brothers and anyone else who happens to be around laugh and will go to great lengths to get a smile or a giggle...even put himself at risk of getting in trouble. He also loves his family, especially his brothers. He has a rough time when they are away at school and he's stuck at home with mom. It will be nice for him to have his little sister around for the next few years before he heads off to school. He's a good companion for running errands and loves to try to talk me into buying all kinds of things. He LOVES food...and will eat almost anything (except sandwiches). His favorite food right now is soup and will ask for soup for every meal. We're not exactly sure what kind of soup, but if you give him a bowl of something and say it's soup, he'll eat it. At preschool, he is the ladies man. All the little girls in his class love him and their moms are always telling me how much they hear about Ryan. One of the girls tried to tell him he was her Prince Ryan and he told her he was not Prince Ryan, he was Prince Hulk. We have loved having this big little guy in our family and we look forward to celebrating more birthdays to come!!

Hannah Lera

The biggest event for 2012 so far has been the arrival of Hannah Lera. She was born on 1/29/12 at 11:20pm...just 40 min shy of sharing a birthday with her bigger brother! She was 8lbs 1oz and 20.5 inches long. She is doing great and it has been so much fun to have a little dainty girl around the house. She has already shown how tough she is by the "loves" the boys give her and she doesn't make a peep. We are blessed to have this little bundle!!
